We gave up, count 'em, 53 points in the second half. Must-win game and we give up 53 in the last half? You can't do that. Good teams always play defense.

Our defense was not good today. The good thing is that is a rare occurrence. I'll worry if we continue that, but for now, I will chalk it up as a fluke.

Flat footed and uninspired except for Jordy. Hard to win when only 1 player comes ready to play.

It was terrible from the first media timeout on. Everything was easy for UGA today.

I believe what we've learned from the Georgia series this year is that you aren't going to win without at least average play from your point guard. The first game we didn't even have a point guard. Today, our point guard played one of his worst games.

The bad thing is that it came against uga a team we truly couldn't lose to

The defense was atrocious. We kept pulling within 3 but could never follow a bucket with a stop. Those are the most frustrating games to watch.

You could tell from about mid way through the first half the body language was bad.. They weren't ready today for whatever reason.. A lot on the line.. It was disappointing..

GA is to UT as UT is to FL.

Not even close to the truth. Donovan's all time mark vs. UT in hoops is 2 games under .500. and he is 5-11 over the last 8 seasons. By comparison, this is Georgia's first season sweep of UT in hoops since 2000-2001 season. Until UT lost to GA in Pearl's last season at home, UT had won 13 straight over Georgia, ending with a home loss to them in 2011. We split the season series last year.

I was referring to recent history only, not overall records.

...and UT split the series with GA last year and the year before that. This is why your comparison doesn't work.

UT beat FL twice in a row (and followed up with a W this season).
GA beat UT twice in row this season.
My point being that the facts indicate that trends seem to be developing, not all of which are pleasing to Vol fans.
That's the gist of my argument.
The formula cannot be skewed by throwing in irrelevant factors.

Mark Fox is 5-3 against UT. 2-2 against Pearl and 1-3 against Martin. He's a pretty good coach. UT won't have many gimmes as long as Fox is there unless UT just catches them with injuries or a year where they have a lot more talent. Both teams will be better next year. If Pope leaves for the NBA, UGA will struggle some early.
