Bama's coach is in his second year. Bama's talent doesn't rank anywhere close to UT's. Even taking into account the quick turnaround, Hopson being out, and Pearl's suspension, you STILL don't lose to hated rival (in all sports, checkers included) bammer on your home court. I had a bad feeling about that game; and couldn't listen to the end-----because I hate losing to bama worse than anything. Big time bummer---gentlemen. :banghead2:

Talent wise, we have Hopson, Harris, Tatum, and Williams. They have some good players. Green, Mitchell, Hillman and Releford. I agree we should have won but when Goins is getting consistently beat by the other teams point guards it makes teams hard to stop. Look at how many points in the paint bama had. Releford was getting in the lane and dishing off to the bigs. We are bad at stopping penetration.

Hopson didn't play.

I HATE losing to AL...we had the opportunity but could not close it out under the pressure with 12 seconds in regulation. We should have a fail-proof play and be able to execute it to perfection in a situation like that...AL never gave up but we didn't stay focused. Shot selection was terrible (easy for me to say) but I hate it for the team as well as the fans! We needed something good to happen for TN instead of more bad news. I was proud of them for coming back after getting behind but we just can't seem to FINISH sometime when they are so capable. Maybe we will get our act together next week.

Talent wise even without hopson its not even close...but its no surprise of the lost when players like Mcbee and S. Pearl continue to see significant playing time.

Williams does not have talent, he just plays hard

It would be easy win if Scotty Hopson playing and better PG which I thought John Shelby going to picks Vols.

mcbee and pearl were easily 2 of our top 4 or 5 players yesterday. Pearl should have gotten more minutes. He did nothing but make great play after great play.

I agree Bama's talent doesn't rank anywhere close to ut's, looks like after yesterday's game Bama's is ahead of ut's. You can't expect to win because you show up, Bama wanted the game alot more, and you were outcoached and outplayed.

People commonly confuse athleticism with talent.

I don't believe we have nearly as much basketball talent as some people claim we do.
