..Either you have "IT" or you don't. Who on this team has "IT." Does T. Harris have it? He didn't show it last night on the big stage. The excuse is; "he has a bad ankle", "he is young", or "he is not use to playing D1 players", etc.,etc.,etc..
Does Hopson have "IT." In my opinion he is out of excuses.
How are other top 10 recruits playing? It seems our Mickey "D" All-Americans all the way back to V. Yarbrough have issues stepping up and playing like they were recruited. We have two on the same team and still they cannot play at a consistent level. Why is that? Is it the Orange? If we could have pulled in Ron Mercer, I wonder if he would have been as dominating as he was at KY or wouold be going on the potential list? We are always waiting for the "potential", or "turn the corner", or my favorite, "that game will get him going", yet we are still waiting for one of these guys to be as good as promised. I may just be frustrated after last night’s loss but I am tired of the excuses. What's the deal? Is there deal or is it is what is? Thoughts?

T Harris has been excellent pretty much the entire season, he's living up to his Mickey "D" All-American status. One bad game and you throw him under the bus?

I don't know what the deal is but there is a deal, IMO. I also think that it is what it is, as well....

This was pretty much one of the VERY FEW (like, 2 maybe 3) games he's not been a major factor it. Meh, it happens. When you've got an entire team that's as inconsistent as ours is, the opposition will key on your best players. When those teams are as good as UK, then those players typically struggle in that game. I think it's too early to judge him in that capacity yet.

I'm not throwing him under the bus but If your NBA calibur a stage like last night would have been a good time to show some grit. How did the KY freshmen play? I guees we can see what T.H. does against the kats here on his home floor.

We were also sent to the line 16 times less than UK. Just sayin. I know that making them is the key, but still. Out-"tripped" to the line 28-12 if I'm not mistaken.

There's the equivalent of like, three Tobias Harrises on the court at any time for UK. Again, still more for us to have to deal with than UK.

We were 8/12 from the FT line last night. Not bad, but IMO, the bigger problem is consistency in regards to forcing the ball down low and drawing more fouls. With as active as Kentucky was last night on defense, we should have gone to the line a lot more than 6 times. Also, IIRC, we led the country at the end of January in trips to the foul line. What happened to that stat? We certainly aren't playing worse competition now than we were then. We should still be able to pass the ball down low against the SEC. We did it against the Big East.

"No excuses at this level"

T. Harris REALLY needs to tighten up his defense. And for the love of god, POST UP!!! I'm so tired of this "Point Forward" nonsense being played 100% of the time. You are a big man who rarely misses around the basket. Don't just act like a leader, Show it.

tobias harris is nothing more than a good college player...i dont undertand why everyone thinks he is the greatest thing ever...he is technically sound but he is not great and wont ever be...he needs to improve his conditioning and lose his baby fat...he needs to make crisper/faster moves and he needs to figure out how to be an above the rim player...all good players at his size are above the rim players and he lives below the rim...maybe by his junior year he can be a complete player

I don't want to be anywhere near IT.

ehh, I still think people are over-reacting. we will make the tourney, we'll be a low to average seed, and I for one think we still have the talent and coaching and chemistry to put it all together. Those first seven games this season didn't happen by accident. we'll find it again. Just have patience.

There is no excuse for UK getting that many offensive rebounds....At least make a damn effort....which we didn't last night..

we all know we have some talent...we all know we have inconsistant players and lack of "trying" a lot of the time...we all also know this team is going out in the 2nd or possibly sweet 16 round if a great matchup falls our way...lets just move on...SEASON OVER...if you think anything better than a sweet 16 is possible then please say something...other than that we are lucky to get into tourny and much less into the 2nd weekend of it...BYE 2010-2011

I noticed in most of these posts everyone kind of took up for Harris and he is a wait and see, (kind of my point) but no one took up for Hopson. So at this point, there are no excuses for him? He is what he is and that is inconsistent like the rest of this team? I have never seen a group that is this dysfunctional; especially after playing like they did against Pitt & Nova. I guess it's possible to peak prematurely...

Hopson is really only good in two facets of the game...he can hit a three in a one on one situation and he is dangerous when he has momentum and is going toward the basket...that may translate into an 8 or 9th player on an NBA roster...but noone that far down on a bench is a great player...Scotty is terrible when our offense is slowed down and he is not getting the ball...if he just cuaght the ball and is not moving down court he will shoot a jumper if it is one on one or just pass the ball because he knows he is useless

I've been as bad on Hopson as anyone this season. However, give credit where credit is due. He is our best player and this team will have trouble winning any remaining games without him.
