I've been to Bama boards and read about the "Viles".

I've been to Vol boards and read about the "Bammers".

Today I heard a CBS announcer call us "Brothers".

All in all, we may have our own opinions and our differences and we may have our "hatred" of each other, but one thing is for sure - the SEC rocks and I would take it any day over some lame ass PAC-10 or ACC football. I will look forward to next October. There are football games and then there are incredible SEC rivalries.

You guys played a great game today - a much better one than I ever expected. Congrats on an excellent effort.

Thanks - it was a war.

Since you admit you thought it would be easier - what do you estimate the sphincter pressure was reading right before Anderson fumbled? :p

On a scale of 1 to 10?

I'd say about a 25. I would have given it a 30 had there been less time on the clock.

Very high. Got a new girlfriend who doesn't really understand football and she was not too impressed by my behavior during this game.

I thought Fulmer's gonna walk off the field, our field, with that smug look on his face...once again.

Me personally, never thought it was gonna be easy. Auburn and Tennesse are almost never easy.

Hahaha...She wasn't impressed, eh? You never know who a person REALLY is until they have gone thru an emotional UA-UT game.

That's the truth. Heck, if I haven't been dating her for at least 2 years, I wouldn't even watch the game with her.

yeah I know, I don't even usually like watching games even with my friends, like to watch them alone, get too into it.

But, in a new place with only one TV and I thought kicking her out or locking her in the bedroom might be a bit extreme.

I think my response when Riggs ran down to the 5 might have been a bit too much.

I started to get up and leave the room, I knew if ya'll scored 7 we would have a hard time recovering.

Me too. My living room is usually trashed after the game where I throw stuff all over the place (especially yesterday :D ). My wife just leaves me alone. I guess she knows I'll clean up my mess after I calm down a bit.

The SEC may rock. But I don't think there is a team in the SEC that could beat USC. Now don't start throwing bottles at me, but come on. I don't think anyone would be able to keep up. IMO.

Houston 28
MSU 16

SEC is loaded with defensive talent this year, and is strong, but there is a HUGE amount of parody in college football. That makes coaching even more important.

It is the pageantry that makes the SEC what it is. It is something very special.

Yeah, I don't think I'll have to worry about impressing the girlfriend any more

She's still around, it's not that, but I don't think she's too interested in watching the game with me next week. I told her it's just Utah State and if I have to get upset about a Utah State game then were not as good as I thought.

I've heard some stuff about worrying about yall's game against USC, really I wouldn't worry about it, USC's no good. I think Tennessee's the best team we've played so far, whether or not Florida won the game, yall are better, and on defense it's not even a comparison, we smoked Florida's defense. Your defensive line versus our offensive line was just a four quarter long ass kicking.

As to the guy who said no SEC team had a chance versus Southern Cal, you're probably right. They're practically a pro team

Still, I'd like a chance, we weren't blowing people out in 92 either. Gotta beat LSU, Auburn, and then probably Georgia to do it though. Not easy. And even then we probably won't get a chance.

USC is very beatable. I watched the USC-ND game and I wasn't really impressed with their defense. Sure, with UT's offense running the way it is... total CRAP... there's no chance for us. But Texas can definitely beat USC.

Maybe you're right.

I just see USC outscoring Texas. The thing about it is theyre should be a playoff, who has Texas beat? Ohio State at Ohio State is a great win, but other than that not much IMO.

The thing about Alabama is I don't think we're quite the same offense without Prothro. He was our Reggie Bush. Some Alabama fans acted like we could just replace him but not me. Not only was he our most explosive player, he was our most reliable WR. He never dropped a ball. Our other WR's are talented but they're not as tough as TP, I wasn't surprised at all to see that ball get ripped away from Keith Brown, they all have a case of the fumbles.

I'd love to see it though, I think our defense could give them some problems and if Brodie's on who knows

I'd love to see Tenn beat ND, not just cause it would help our BCS. Never liked ND, they got two losses and still in the top ten? Typical ND bias

There's a rightful bias towards ND. I would bias towards ND. They are one of the greatest... if not THE greatest school for football. I don't like them... but they deserve to lose to Tennessee. They're bound for implosion.
