We got our butts whooped, and there's really no two ways about it. That being said, I think there were a couple bright points. A freshman quarterback just went into the number 1 team in the country's stadium on the road and held his own. Dobbs' future looks bright in my opinion and I for one will rest easy tonight knowing that. Go vols.

We all knew what was coming. Bama maned up just like oregon and dared worley to throw the ball. He couldnt. Therefore the run game was non existent and the beat down was on. Bama got away with a ton of holding but it didnt make a difference the talent gap was obvious.

I do think we saw the future tonight as dobbs held his own. I would have liked to see riley a bit but whatever im not the coach.

Looking for brighter days ahead. Beat mizzou

This result doesn't matter. Not a single Vol fan chalked this up as a W before the season. Vandy, Mizzou, Auburn. We need one of em. #Bowl

A record-setting loss worse than any of Dooley's, Kiffin's or Fulmer's cannot be spun as a positive. If we had looked remotely competitive or even covered, we could've milked a little forward progress out of it, but this was just a big momentum buster for a program that desperately needs every inch.

Things got interesting today at the qb position. It's looking like dobbs will likely end up getting a start before the season is over...maybe sooner than later. BUT...can he keep the starting job once he gets it?

Yes...a couple bright points in the second half. Something to build on.

No one expected us to win anyway. I am the biggest Vol homer around, but check the score prediction...mine was 42-14...not off by much and frankly I think the difference is that they got more turnovers than we did.

Future is bright. Very bright, as long as Butch maintains this level of recruiting.

Expected to lose, did not expect to get blown off the field. Moral victories are for losers to make them feel better about being losers.
