No more FedEx Orange Bowl

FedEx will no longer sponsor the Orange Bowl.

FedEx has informed ESPN that it will not renew its entitlement of the Orange Bowl, ending a 21-year association with the Bowl Championship Series event. The move ends what was the longest-running title sponsorship of a BCS game.

I wish the bowls would go back to being the Sugar Bowl or Orange Bowl or Fiesta Bowl or whatever. I understand the sponsors are paying big money for the name and want theirs to be first, but it's just not right.

I know what you mean but at least they keep Sugar, Orange and Fiesta in the name. I hate how there's the Capital One Bowl or Chic Fil A Bowl now.

I like how the Rose Bowl has at least kept it to "Rose Bowl presented by AT&T" (or Citi or whoever it might be next)

I hate Capital One Bowl, Chick-fil-a Bowl, etc. - those will always be Citrus and Peach to me


ETA - but it only makes sense, right? It's for the same reason that you have bowls in the first place and not a playoff: $$$$

I have from good sources that Vagasil is the front runner...They claim since its the ACC vs the Big East they need a sponsor who can get relieve that nasty smell of putting two teams from terrible conferences together on the same field...Vagasil hopes to draw more than 35,000 to its annual sponsored orange bowl :good!:
