What does he expect when it means nothing and its the week before the super bowl

It was his dumbass idea to move the game to a week when you don't get a lot of the best players involved.

Goodell is great for expanding the NFL, but he has been absolutely terrible at maintaining the quality of the game.

If you don't like it don't watch it. If you don't watch it why do you care?

I tried watching it this year. Love seeing stars in action. The whole not allowed to put hands on each other in the trenches and give qbs 19 seconds to throw bothered me.

I liked when they used to do the skills competitions.

Pro Bowl needs to be played as a Madden tourney using the players voted in. Give the winning gamer a player's check along with the players, losing gamer a losing player's check. Send everybody to Hawaii as a bonus for getting voted in.

I think they just need to go back to the old way. I'm old enough to remember when the game wasn't a complete joke. And you know, it might not just be the game itself. Maybe it says something about the players of today in comparison to the guys back in the day.

Don't like it, therefore I never watch it... Would like to see a skills competition though.

Do they still have those? I haven't watched the pro bowl the past couple of years but I know they used to have QB's throwing at moving targets and other players doing various drills. Unless I'm just confusing it with the combine? Haha. I'm pretty sure I remember a skills competition though.

Personally, I don't care if they get rid of the pro bowl but would people still get to vote for pro bowlers(or all-stars)? I'm assuming they would. Would be dumb to eliminate that as a career achievement.

NO it wouldn't. They have the All-Pro team, which BTW, is a much bigger and more prestigious honor. If you notice, that means much more to the players as a gauge of who the best in the game are at any given time. Lots of guys have made Pro Bowls because someone else was injured or simply didn't want to go to the game.

Well, eliminating the actual game would eliminate substitute Pro Bowlers. Every league has all-stars as well as first-team all league honors. No reason to eliminate the fan vote and diminish league interest. People care about the vote much more than they care about the actual game.
