Plus it's not like New Year's Day means anything anymore for college bowls. They screwed that tradition years ago, especially after putting some of the crappy bowls after NYD.

Like the tradition of moving New Years Days Bowl Games to the second when the first falls on Sunday?
Basically has been done since they have played bowl games.

Well, if nothing else, ESPN Classic does some fantastic reruns of old games across different sports around the holidays. Plus, there might be a good CBB game or two.

Exactly. It's pretty much an agreement between the two not to air one's games during the other's main timeslots
