No SEC chant Awbarn?

Read (can't remember which website) that Awbarn students passed out flyers around school requesting that they do not chant SEC after winning the NC...Thoughts?

I noticed the announcers for the games usually say its in poor taste to yell SEC after the SEC beats a school. I don't really care one way or another. But you know how sensitive people are now days.

In all seriousness, it was probably because just about everyone in the conference has been rooting for the NCAA to execute them.

I must be missing something. I don't see how chanting that could possibly be seen as being in bad taste.

I don't think with 5 straight NC's by 4 different schools and a 7-0 record, that an SEC chant is still required.

Not that I'm against rubbing it in, it's just kind of stating the obvious at this point.

I can see how chanting “Overrated” is stupid. I don’t know why they would have a problem with “SEC”.

Well they say its rubbing it in. But I've noticed most ESPN announcers are Big 10(The Ohio St) fans, and of course other conference fans say its stupid.

I could see if it was an all conference game where they played against another all confernce team... But it's not. It's one team vs one team. Not the SEC vs one team.

They only care about themselves, everyone else be damned. I really wish Oregon would have beaten them.

Heard some "SEC" chanting from a small group toward the end. One old guy went full-on douche pretending that he was crying because Oregon fans didn't like the call that Dyer wasn't down. But, he didn't really represent how other fans acted.

Over-all, I thought the Auburn fans were a great, polite group.

I thought they were as well, minus thr few douchers that there are supporting every school.
