No suspensions of players after OSU Mich brawl

Big 10 fined both schools $100K but said they would not suspend any players. Clearly did not want to harm buckeyes chances in CFP. Unfortunate since they are likely to be Vols opponent.
So much for being the upper crust of conferences. No repercussions for fighting on the players-what a joke as I said in another post they are looking like the upper crust of the south end of a north bound mule.

Absolutely despicable. Any other school except the gumps would impose punishment. Not the soy boys of osu... pathetic!

They're not going to jeopardize OSU's chances in the playoffs with suspensions.

Just like tattoo'gate, meaningless penalties

Yeah suspensions was the only way to send a message. Bothe universities can send 100k$ easily. Unfortunately the B1G knows suspensions only hurt one of the schools. Suspensions from a playoff hurt. Suspensions from a Bowl game that loads of players opt out of nowadays anyways isn't hurting Michigan much at all.

I also wouldn't expect Ryan Day to give internal discipline in any game the way his comments sounded like he was OK with his players defending their turf. I'm sure he will try and say we handled theose involved internally which probably means they had to do like 10 push-ups. No way they get proper discipline.

Some schools and coaches put "winning" above teaching players how to be responsible for their actions.

The Big 10 suspended 7 Michigan State players for throwing punches after a game a couple years back

They suspended a Northwestern (CJ Robbins) player for throwing a punch

Yeah, absolutely playing favorites

The SEC fined Tennessee 250K for the fans throwing of mustard et al on the field.

Big Ten needs to do better. This was the actual football players.
Big 10 has no control over those two schools, as they are nothing without UM and OSU. NCAA has no control over Big 10 as they’re the only thing keeping the SEC from owning the sport.

Both entities are treading water until revenue sharing kicks in, then the players will be the ones paying fines while all the lawyer protected AD’s laugh about how stupid the kids are with money.

The players wanted to show off their inner Cassius Clay moves.
