We are not going to win any games for a month now any way. Kentucky is our only hope ifwestay healthy and start improving .

Butch missed a great opportunity to get Ferguson or Dobbs some meaningful PT if he had inserted either to start the 2nd half. Worley's ineptitude made this game a whole lot closer than it should have been.

Playcalling had just as much to do with it. With the success we were having in the running game, there was no reason to put the offense on Worley's shoulders.

Its only meaningful if something happens to Worley. If not you just blew their redshirt year and depending on who you go with the other is likely to transfer out after this season. I much prefer to see them battle each other for at least one more spring & summer before one is chosen because when that does happen the other is GONE!

Also we were up 31-7 at one point I don't think "Worley's ineptitude" had much to do with not being able to stop USA's offense.

How are you so certain that one would shrink from the competition of the other? In this offense, with all of the read-option play calls, either is one snap away from playing under center.

This. Peterman would be the one to transfer. And I don't see there being a funeral like atmosphere if he decided to leave town.

One thing that annoys me:

alot of people on here call the team/coaches, out for quitting, not trying, etc. but many of those same people "quit" on our team and give up/give in

I understand being extremely frustrated, as I and plenty others are in the same boat. But have some pride, and don't simply concede defeat. I understand it will almost take miracles to win some of our upcoming games, but don't count us out. they play the game for a reason (so yes maybe we can overcome the odds and win one of them). At least we can all hope

The offense has just has much to do with how one team stops another. If you don't go three and out the second half of the game , the other teams offense sets on the sidelines. That's football 101.

You seriously think one is going to set behind the other for 4 years?

He must have missed that one. Probably a favorite on Vol calls too.

Why is everybody so damned obsessed with redshirts? Quarterback is our most glaring need right now. We need to find our guy for this year and the future.

What if bUTch had put one of the freshmen in and he made a huge mistake and we ended up losing the game.
What would the fans say then?

What the hell was he thinking, putting a freshman in the game when the game was on the line? Hell, he should be fired for that!

Just imagine if Dobbs/Ferguson threw an interception which was returned for a t.d. and we go to o/t and eventually lose. bUTch would be blamed for it.

What's the difference in Worley throwing two picks in the 2nd half and one of the freshmen doing the same thing? The freshmen get valuable experience. Worley's play made this game as whole lot closer than it should have been.

Or a great opportunity to lose one of the few wins left on our schedule

Jones has said that he will start the best player for every position.

Is he lying?

If either freshman QB was ready to contribute, they would have already done so. We have freshman all over the field. It appears all of our eggs are in Worley basket for the moment. I hope he stays healthy and helps us get three more wins.

I want to see both guys get as many game reps as possible. Gives them something to build on going into spring and sophomore years.

Peterman is a Redshirt and is no farther along then a True Freshman. Jonny Manziel is the rare exception.

We should fire butch now, get the rebuilding started and get a good jump on recruiting. The interim coach would play the freshman. Butch sucks, he can't coach and has proved it. Our team of allstars has been misused from day one. He needs to go!

No idea. It's not like we can't go out and recruit 4 and 5* talent...again.

What happens if Jones recruits a super-talented incoming frosh who makes spring 2014 practice and can start?

You think he'd pass on that player? Hell no.

If Jones is not lying then the frosh simply aren't as good as Worley.

They may have to use one of these guys out of necessity in one of these next 3 games. Worley is going to be heated up by these next 3 teams. He's going to take some shots. Peterman isn't a option.
