NOMINATIONS: Favorite Football Vols All-Time!

Hey all,

I'm interested to see what our collective favorite Football Vols are (players/coaches), all time. Your favorites can be the ones you remember from childhood, the ones who had the best statistical impact, the ones who have given back the most to our university, whatever!

I thought this would be something fun to keep us busy during the football off-season (besides baseball, obviously). VolNation is a great place to gather such information. Please respond to this thread with your nominations! As people enter them, I'll update the OP to ensure all names are captured. Please check the list below (in the Spoilers) before posting to reduce duplicates.

I'll stop collecting names Sunday June 26 at 11:59 PM. On June 27, I will post a Google Form in a separate thread for everyone to vote/rank their favorites. in order. I might do a top 10, I might do a top 25. We'll see how many nominations we get. I might also eventually create a second thread to capture favorite Vols all time, not only football. We'll see how this one goes.

There are sooo many. You could come up with 2 or 3 names from just about every year depending on what criteria you choose. From last season, Hendon Hooker, Cedric Tillman and Theo Jackson spring to mind.

But if we're talking about all-time greats, then no list would be complete without a handful of names that always come up whenever we have this kind of discussion. Doug Atkins has not yet been mentioned, for instance.
