Her knee had nothing to do with her goose egg vs. SC; Victaria Saxton had more to do with that. If her knee was an issue, she wouldn't have been playing during crunch time in the 4th Q and OT.
She's another player that is poised to lose minutes next season with Fudd and DeBerry coming in. I'm not convinced that she won't opt to graduate from UConn after this season.
During the game last night one of the announcers mentioned that Westbrook played the SC game with a "sore back" whatever that means. She had a good game last night despite the crappy shooting and is most definitely the team leader. That's why Auriemma gives her so many game minutes.
As for McLean, Auriemma awards game minutes based on performance in practice. I suspect that maybe he was sending her a message. I also suspect that a lot of the transfer speculation in this thread is simply wishful thinking on the part of some fans.
If she's a first round pick, she'll probably go pro specially if they end up winning the natty. If she's not a lock for first round and no natty, I think she comes back.I see a lot of first round WNBA projection for Evina I think she will go in the draft if she is chosen. I don't know if she will choose playing for pay over another year in college. I would think first round she would.
Yeah. My thoughts are that if they do win the natty and she looks like she gets a good draft spot then she's gone. but if there's no natty and a poor draft slot she might come back. I don't think Evina loses minutes to Fudd. It will be Christyn Williams who is danger of falling off the map. Friday night will be interesting because it could be a 40 point game and if so then we'll see a bit of Poffenbarger. If Saylor shoots like she did as a Junior it could mean minutes for her right away. Her knee had nothing to do with her goose egg vs. SC; Victaria Saxton had more to do with that. The proverbial let-down game (actually 70-49), which isn't a problem when you play in a crappy conference...
I'd really ask who has shown they are better over their body of work.As much as I would like to believe it was a titanic battle between prohibitive title favorites, it is entirely possible that neither South Carolina or UConn is necessarily special.
I've been hesitant on South Carolina and that hesitancy was based on things that showed up in the two losses.
The question is whether anyone is really much better than that.
The entire MSST team should transfer. Nikki makes Holly look like a HOF coach. I don't think she's even watching the game.In other new MSST appears to no longer have a defense. Pitiful.
I’m sure they’ll find it for us of course.

They lose their games in the first quarter. The entire team looks clueless.
No kidding. The players are too good to waste their time before realizing that Nikki is absolutely clueless. She obviously talked a bit game to keep all those high profile players there.
Schaefer handed her a loaded gun with the safety off but she stumbled and dropped it in the river.
The portal will be calling from Starkville.
