Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2023-24

They didn't see Sabrina Ionescu cracking their starting lineup last season, or the starters from Notre Dame that went to back to back title games would start for them.

If you think any Keyboard Coach on the Boneyard wouldn’t have, at the very least, started Sabrina over Makurat, you don’t read enough on the Boneyard.

I have read the Boneyard enough and that's why I posted what I posted. I know you would start Sabrina over Makurat or have Caitlin Clark on your UConn team but that doesn't mean that others Boneyarders would.

I'm on the boneyard several times a day. Read a high percentage of posts and the only time I have heard those sentiments mentioned are right here from you on this post. So I've got to call a penalty for specified conjuring of erroneous facts on @Terrells Bay88. Now in the event that you can use the search function in the Boneyard and recover some of the posts in question the penalty will be retracted and apologies forthcoming. But until such evidence is proffered, you are in the penalty box on this topic.

I have never seen anyone say on the BY Sabrina wouldn’t have been in UConn’s starting five last year. Or the year before.

I accept being the penalty box with open arms. I'm quite sure you can find numerous posts stating from Boneyarders wishing Clark or Sabrina was on their team.

Damn, who was that that she threatened? Crazy. What on earth did that UConn fan do??

It's been a few years, since before she made the Summitt a pay site. If I remember correctly a UConn fan cut and pasted a portion of something she had written and posted it elsewhere and she felt it was a copyright infringement. It was really silly and she caught a lot of flack for the way she responded like a 10 year old.

Oh yes. That’s a Maria original right there. She freaks TF out if anyone posts something “exclusive” from The Summitt on here. Have seen her attack posters here before about sharing “copyrighted” information.

Wants you to attach a works sighted page if you share information lol.

For those who know, am I correct in stating that Maria is in no way officially associated with the program or the team? Because she sure acts like it.
No I think she had it much better when Holly was here. Their information over there is nothing better than what we have here. No way Kellie is letting a sports reporter be an official part of the team.

I was always really confused about that during the Holly years. Seemed like Maria was an official part of her staff almost. Woefully stupid haha. You cannot allow unfettered access of your program to the media.

It wasn't unfettered. Holly let Maria have access on her own terms. She was basically Holly's puppet. I wouldn't call her as much a "sports reporter" as she was an unpaid PR rep for Holly. And she had the nerve to ask people to donate to her "reporting" lol!

I remember seeing videos where Maria is just wandering around freely in the admin wing. To me, that’s crazy. Also not a level playing field for the other reporters, which is also important. Everyone deserves access. Not just those who lick your boots.

I asked a friend who has frequented the boneyard for years. He believed it was a poster called doggydaddy. I’ve only been reading the boneyard on and off a few years. Don’t remember seeing him there.

UConn over 1 win Georgetown last night 64 to 40. Williams had 19 and Bueckers again had to do all the heavy lifting as Wesbrooks and Ododa again virtually no shows in the game. Bueckers has saved UConn enduring several more loses this season. She has been the difference between winning in losing in two or three other contest.

I remember him from the ESPN board. Can't say I was a huge fan.

I will say this...there were UConn fans on the Summitt that would act all nice on the checkerboard, and then post sh!t when they reported back to the Boneyard. People noticed that, so that's one of the reasons that UConn fans weren't that welcome there.

There was one UConn fan that I really did like. He posted frequently on The Summitt and on the old ESPN board. His name was Slewbopper. He was a great guy and I enjoyed his posts. He may have been a UConn fan, but appreciated all the teams and had a lot of great things to say about the LV program. Also had a tendency to post while drunk on the Summitt and get a temporary ban. I remember he got sick and passed away. It all happened real suddenly, it seemed. Sometimes, I guess it's easy to forget that it's real people behind the usernames...

That can be said about the stars on Tennessee and Louisville.

Slewbopper posted under several screen names. CTWhitey was another. He was a huge fan of WCBB and horse racing. I know that he had several friends among LadyVol fans. He was relatively young when he passed, I think from leukemia.

I remember he posted under several names, but he always identified who he was. CTWhitey was another one I liked. For some reason, they reminded me off those two old arguing guys on The Muppets Show.

I (along with several other posters) was pissed at on the ESPN board who basically said good riddance to Slewbopper after he died. Takes a special kind of a-hole to stoop to that level, and "her" comments weren't taken too well.
