I'll say.
Tell me, what's the difference between the
"Assistant athletic director for women's basketball operations" and the "Assistant director for women's basketball operations" ?
(Please don't say "athletic" !!)

Thank youAssistant athletic director for women's basketball operations reports to the Athletic Director and works out of the AD office while the Assistant director(s) for women's basketball operations report tp the director of women's basketball operations in Kim's office. The AD office is more concerned with higher level budgeting, fund raising, SEC issues and other intercollegiate responsibilities. The director of operations staff is more concerned with equipment, supplies, tickets, special events, travel logistics, special guests and recruits, maintenance and keeping Kim happy.
Somebody probably took Staley aside and reminded her what a terrific recruiting tool her being the Senior National Team's coach is.
Not trash talking her at all. But I firmly believe the Olympic coach should change every cycle. Just as I believe the players should rotate out more quickly. No good reason to have people playing that long.
The message here is clear. If any high school payer has hopes of playing for the U.S. Olympic team, she should commit to South Carolina or UConn. If she is foolish enough to go anywhere else, she will have almost no chance of making the team.

Dawn has had very good recruiting classes prior to her ever being the National team coach. She also develops her players, look no further than Harris and Harrigan who were ranked 9th and 12th at their positions coming out of high school and ended up two of the best at their positions by their senior year. All this talk about “she gets the talent because she’s the coach”, or “her girls know if they go to SC they will automatically be playing in the Olympics” is false! It just sounds like sour grapes. If she steps down but continue to land good classes and win what will the next complaint be? Teams executing and producing on the court is the biggest tool in recruiting period.
