The message here is clear. If any high school payer has hopes of playing for the U.S. Olympic team, she should commit to South Carolina or UConn. If she is foolish enough to go anywhere else, she will have almost no chance of making the team.

That really doesn't make any sense. If anything coaching the youth teams would theoretically be a bigger deal than the national team.

I did not indicate that at all. She was a valuable player. It’s just a giant stretch to talk about championships as justification for KJH’s superiority to KL. She played all years with one of our top 3 players all time. She played with the Meeks on a team with 4 top five recruits. There is no comparison to the rosters. Do you think Lawson’s team would have been better if Kelly was on it instead of Kara? I don’t but that is a fair comparison if you want to talk player status versus coaching which seems more relevant.

to bad the "MiqueS" were only there for 1 of those 3

I get she may never have been the best player on her team but she did set an NCAA championship game record of 11 assists which meant she sorta contributed to that title so those 11 buckets were actually due to her

correct but the poster said she played with the miqueS as if that's why she had all 3 rings! so i made the correction ..

Trust me i am a huge Chamique fan and i know she was a huge part of the championships ... but she wasn't the only reason why kellie has 3 championships

"What do rings from YOUR playing days have to do with YOUR recruiting results".
I interpreted it as meaning; winning as a player has nothing to do with that same person being able to be a successful recruiter.

I do think Kara having been very visible the past few years will only help her recruiting. I don't know what her ring will do. But her being on ESPN, with the wizards and celtics, etc will only help

Kellie's making a big mess blah blah blah... any "decent" coach could take four different schools to the NCAA Tourney blah blah blah...Finishing third in the SEC and 13th in the nation isn't "some measure of success" blah blah bblah...Jeff Walz would have won a 9th and 10th national championship by now blah blah blah....

Good point, Also what i notice about some of the fans on this board when **** is not going our why they tend to try a make up excuses for everything. I don`t care if it`s the coach or coaching staff or players i will call them out. If the recruiting is not up to par i will push back and call it for what it is.

That's fair.... But hopefully you will give kellie her props when she deserves it as well. what is it when "fans"only show up when something negative happens. And i call them for what they are. So i'm def gonna be the yin to your yang if that's how you coming. Respectfully

wasn't not ONE lady vol fan sweating us making the tourney this year and we can't say that has always been the case. Nobody liked the early exit and kellie addressed it herself how it wasn't acceptable but it's funny how fans who were b******g about TN shouldn't ever have to worry about making a tourney stuck their heads in the sand when we got #3 seed.
