To be fair, she was checked out by a trainer, and she also said she was fine. While sitting on the bench Paige Bueckers asked her, “Are you sure you’re OK?” She stated, “Yes I’m fine.” They then left her out for the entirety of the second half out of precaution. Even when the game got within five points they left her on the bench. I would not call that toxic. Players take hits continuously in tough games, if both the trainer and the player feel that injuries do not warrant it, they do need not need to sit out. In this case it could have felt worse at halftime which is why she did not play. No coach in the country is going to take a chance with a marquee player this early in the season.
