I want Karoline Striplin guarding Reese.
Striplin is still developing but at times I don’t think the staff knows exactly what they have in KS. She could become a double double machine!
She’s stronger and more physical than most posts in the SEC outside of the proven veterans on teams like Mississippi State, South Carolina etc.
Reese isn’t going to bang with her for 4 quarters.

Yeah, I find that hard to believe that they'd say no to a player like Angel. Has she ever had disciplinary action against her at MD? She's definitely got an ego, but that also isn't exactly an uncommon trait for players of her caliber.

Striplin isn't slowing Reese down. She may be stronger, but she's not as fast and she isn't as long. Angel will just shoot over her or around her all night. Hollinshead is the only one of the posts with the physical tools to challenge Reese , and even then I expect the fouls to pile up pretty quickly.

What some of y’all are failing to realize is that Tennessee can get any player they wanted basically if they did what some others do on the recruiting trail. Prime example is look at Coach Deion Prime Sanders, who is signing 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 players to JSU and Colorado over powerhouses.
I’m not saying TN is using the right tactic but for what it’s worth every ELITE prospect isn’t just turning them down because they aren’t interested nor don’t want to play in Tennessee. They aren’t negotiating and that’s pretty obvious. So sign to play basketball is the pitch. The odds are hit or miss; only a certain kind of person is focused and determined to a degree where they will leave lucrative options on the table. That’s why I have great respect for Rickea J. The other outstanding signees a former HS All-American in JPissott, Jillian Hollingshead, Jasmine Franklin, and Jasmine Powell had opportunities as well but truth is this recruiting philosophy isn’t for everybody.
And again, I’m not saying it’s a good strategic plan.

Are you implying UT Lady Vols are not using NIL deals like everyone else? Or are you saying other WBB schools are bypassing NIL and just having boosters pay athletes straight bags of cash under the table? Where did you get your research from, I’d like to read about it.

I thought LSU's crowd was great last night. Really rowdy crowd that you don't see at most women's games. Kim's done a nice job to get crowd support for her team in such a short time. Although they probably didn't need to humiliate that poor videographer by shining the spotlight on him lol.

I thought we would beat UCONN last year without PB and the way we were playing, yet we know how that game went. However if there is no Fudd, I don’t think they stand a chance either, I just don’t count them out because of Geno.

The thing about Rickea she HAS to watch what she does because all eyes are on her. It's perceived different because of past issues. Rickea doesn't really do her side eye anymore or flex and i think that game might just be the one where some of those things are seen in full effect. Jordy talks when talked too LOL... She isn't gonna start it but she will finish it (ask Miss St) 😂.

Angel is passionate and i didn't see what she did it to what degree she did it. I think she should show mad passion and i love to see it. Ive been saying it for awhile now. Angel Reese and LSU will be pumped up to play us but if she goes at Rickea like that Rickea gonna have something for her LOL and it's gonna come in the form of points, rebounds, and anything else she feels the need to serve up on the shade dish 😂

jackson/horston vs reese/morris might be one to watch ...

PS did anyone else see Miss St try to get chippy with Karo and she was NOT having it either lol

Since she was brought up why is Reese listed as a sophomore... she had to have been in good academic standing to play immediately. Morris isn't listed as a grad student either so has she not graduated (sheesh)?

i guess it could be a major switch or some credits not transferring but having the ability to do summer school should balance it some...

BS. on Reese's post. So disingenuous to drag in where you are from and what gender you are. Rules are simple: be passionate all you want but don't hurt your team and don't disrespect other players, including your own. Reese did all this with great glee then hides behind unrelated trigger words.

In a very close game, she drew a tech for taunting. On another occassion, she was called out even by the adoring announcers for staying downcourt celebrating her own accomplishment while Ark scored an uncontested layup on the other end. Either could have cost LSU the game.

Disrespecting other players while glorifing herself, she ran to the camera and mouthed "They can't stop me!". She called out a teammate publically and harshly during the game. If only you were all as good as MMMMEEEEE!

It's all subjective and YMMV, but this has zero to do with background or gender for me. I just don't enjoy this stuff standing in for actual passion and dedication. Reese's actual play says plenty. Seems a little immature to me, something she'll cringe over later in her life.

And lol at our players getting their passion out but in a more controlled and subdued way within the flow of the game. Yes, that's the idea. Angel should take note.

The game where RJ will really be challenged to keep her cool will be the trip to Starkville. Not looking forward.

Does anyone know why Annie Hayes didn't play last night? Maybe she was out hard celebrating the one year anniversary of the transfer of a pesky teammate. Seriously, MS said both Hayes' sisters out for 'personal' reasons. Hope everything's ok with their family.

Auburn's terrible, but still nice win for MSU without Hayes. Both Carter and Jordan had double doubles.

Azzi Fudd is on crutches with a knee brace, with instructions not to put any weight on that leg. No surgery and nothing torn, but for the exact problem, we are in the dark. Caroline Ducharme, Geno pointed her out at practice for the media and said she is sitting on the bench like she wasn't picked for a pick-up game. Said nothing about her condition, so nothing said is not good news. Patterson may try to go Sunday. Right now, the 5 players now are pretty good, but they are tired. The 6th and 7th on the bench are the 9th and 10th players when we have all 10 available, so substitutions are rare. This is probably the team that will play next Thursday, and possibly against. SC. Right now, all we want is to get healthy for March like we did last year, but until then, games against the really good teams may not be pretty.

Exactly!! Candace Parker use to trash talk all the time. Just go look at some past games with her. She stayed talking. Reese is what you call a dog. It's what every team needs. It's what Tennessee needed before Rickea came this year. Rickea is our dog
