Really won’t be shocked if she grad transfers to try to “improver her stock.” The UCONN fans can say what they like, but Geno doesn’t like her game. She steadily moved further and further from the ball all season because he did not like her decision making. Muhl going out is the only reason she’s gotten any minutes at the PG spot in the tournament.

The coach who barely plays Freshman picks two of them over Westbrook and we’re supposed to believe he loves her so much? No. He thinks she’s slow and that she pouts. He looked frustrated with her a number of times and she knew it. After she let Moon Ursin shoot that wide open 3 Evina’s face turned bright, bright red. As she ran back down the court he insulted her couldn’t tell what he said but it hit a nerve and embarrassed her. If he had any other option he would have sat her because she was a liability defensively all night.

She got lucky this was the year she was eligible. One year later and I don’t think she would have played at all. Would have transferred to be a bench warmer. Don’t see her staying for next season because that’s exactly where she’s headed.

Evina gets along great with her teammates. She gets to be a starter on a top rated team that goes to the Final Four... maybe to the finals... maybe to a National Championship. That would not have happened if she had stayed at Tennessee.

I believe she will be drafted and make a WNBA roster and perhaps play significant minutes sometime during her pro career. But, no matter what happens to her, she's in a better spot now than if she hadn't gone to UConn.

Liked the thought, but Auriemma is Italian. He's more of a Super Tuscan. Maybe a Brunello? I think he still has his name attached to a wine. A Taurasi (yup look it up - it's a region in Italy known for wine) maybe?

If Westbrook and many of our other original recruits had stayed/meshed/behaved (Hayes, Green, Collins, etc.) they well could have gone to a Final Four. But we will never know.

I agree with her getting what all recruits want !
However , I remember the statement she made why she chose UT ! But she left knowing that changes were coming. Why ? We will ever know but her original reasons to come to UT were not honest in my opinion?

She was the #2 recruit in her class and Rennia top 10 and Horston #2 coming and Green a top ten I believe was still on the team ? How many top ten players does it take for you to think you can win ?... but she left ? My major problem with this is..... she could have gone to UConn out of high school! #2 recruits I am sure Geno would take . But she left with changes she helped to generate a termination and now you want to go to UConn ?
I have a small issue with this but .... 🤷‍♂️

Westbrook and Collins never gave Coach Kellie a chance....They are both missed as players...I know playing for Holly was no day at the beach....Never saw a coach dislike offense as much as she did....

Geno always has 5 scorers on the floor together....Thanks to several reasons, his bench is as good as most team's starters.

The most scorers we ever had on the floor at one time was two...Coach Kellie worked miracles getting us as far as she did.

But Texas has been playing against much better teams a #13 seed a #3 seed and a #2 seed, SC played against #16 seed, #8 seed and a #5 seed. And that #2 seed was leading the country in scoring.

The Smith block on Griffin was a clean block just looks like a foul the way their arms are coming down but Smith got all ball on that.

Bradley definitely wasn’t better than Mercer that’s for sure and Oregon St beat UCLA so you can make a case UCLA was better seeded but the Beavers to end the season was definitely the better team. No argument with Maryland being better than GT. Both SC and Texas beat some good teams and both are peaking at right time.

I remember she acted a little surprised herself that she selected UT. Maybe as a high schooler visiting she got caught up in the traditions, facilities etc and just made a decision that didn’t work for her. It happens. I do wish she had given Kellie a chance but perhaps she just wanted a fresh start.

We know who were after going to be in the 20 to 50 top 100 player range. Top ten doesn't seem likely although we might still be in on one player. We might be able to go portal but they will be immediate players and were full and don't think were going over 15 we'll see what happens.

That’s big for them. She is a great player and was their emotional leader. Was just tough because Dungee was more equipped to be the primary scorer. I think the two of them had some issues getting on last season and probably this year. Glad she’ll get a chance to run the show without the others. Sweet, sweet shot for Amber will look forward to watching her again next season.

I’ve always said it would be either Patterson or Howard... there was no way they were going to play together again next season. I think this helps UK keep Rhyne on the roster.
