Do any of you guys have the ATT U-Verse TV and internet service in nashville? Also, hasn't U-Verse already signed on to carry the SEC network? If you have U-Verse, what is your opinion of it? I'm looking to dump directv and comcast cable so I can save a few bucks by bundling with one company.
Thanks.

Didn't AT&T buy out Direct TV last week? No fear...SEC
Network won't be left out of major satellite & cable systems. The would lose lots of subscribers!:whistling:

I've had Uverse for the last few years and have really enjoyed the service. Uverse has also been slated for the SEC network pretty much since they decided to have an SEC network

I have U-verse in knoxville.. internet is faster then comcast(where I live at least) yes they will carry the SEC network.

ATT is slightly more expensive then the other services.. I pay about 20$ more a month then I would with same stuff from comcast..

BUT.. and this is huge in my opinion. ATT treats me with the respect a paying customer deserves. Comcast is a bunch of rude SOB's who act like you owe them something for just being nice enough to talk to you.

Ill pay an extra 20$ a month for good customer service and to get treated correctly, every time I am given the choice.

I also do not have to worry about the new data restrictions comcast is placing on its residential customers when it comes to internet.

It's probably going to be a year or so before the two separate operations are actually merged together though, I've read.

18 months is probably the timetable for DTV to fall under the AT&T umbrella... there are still a lot of conditions that DTV must still meet, mostly on their spectrum ownership and NFL Sunday ticket... but you won't go wrong with the switch to Uverse... and bundling will save you money...

Uverse? I hope you don't want to make a phone call, while browsing the internet, while the TV is on in more than one room. SLOWWWWW MOOOOTTTIOOONNN

you have something wrong somewhere or you are trying to do too many things with inadequate bandwidth...plus they are rolling out 100-300MB service soon in some areas...

My parents have verse are their place. I am lucky enough to have fios.

That being said, when I go to visit them, I feel the lag. They have the highest band width available to them currently. The TV never suffers, but the last device to log onto the internet gets the shaft.

Not to mention, you can only have 4 TV's running at once with Uverse...whats up with that?

As a matter of fact, we just switched back to U-verse yesterday. At least in Nashville, they are currently running a promotion which makes their two-year Triple Play package about $35-40 cheaper than we were paying Comcast. For future reference, the sales rep who signed us up said that ATT "always has new promotions for existing customers." When you call their 1-800 number, just ask for their Retention Dept. and tell them that you want to renew your original promotion. You may have to call two or three times to get ahold of a service rep who will admit that they engage in this practice, but it may help you avoid flip-flopping back and forth from one cable provider to another, based on current promotions.

I have Uverse in Nashville & I love it. They were the first to sign up for SEC Network, so you'll definitely have that. I've had TV and internet for 8 months & I think everything about the company (product, service, etc) is better than Comcast
