Couple people asked about it on the main board... It's the band in my avatar. Figured I'd post it here if there are any fellow metal heads lurking around the board. Norma Jean, metalcore band from Atlanta. Very, very, very heavy music. Lots of screaming, has the intensity and abruptness of bands like Dillinger Escape Plan but is more simplified and thusly more powerful. And on the screaming note... All the vocals are screaming, so keep that in mind if it's not your deal.

Norma Jean is incredible, i've seen them twice live. I like the even more hardcore style of The Chariot now, i'm going to see them next week.

Yeah, pretty good stuff there too. I don't know why all these simplified southern metalcore bands are popping up, but I like them.

Eh, I don't care one way or another about the whole Christian deal. I'm more about putting together good sounding music, I don't care what you sing about.

As Cities Burn is another good one, they're from Louisiana, right?

And a lot of people know about Underoath... I saw them at Warped Tour '05 in Long Beach and didn't think they were very good. I'm the only person I know who didn't like Underoath live.

Milo, do you listen to any other music genres?
Yes, a lot of stuff actually. I like a lot of older country music. Chet Atkins, Hank Williams, Don Gibson, Roy Acuff, etc. I hate the new stuff though, a lot of it really gets on my nerves. Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, etc. I just can't stand that crap. Other than that, I dig the more lively brands of jazz music, most sorts of rock music, pretty much all rap and hip-hop, early 90's west coast gangsta rap in particular though. That's it in a nutshell.

NWA were the urban equivalent of the Beatles. They were the innovators of gangsta rap.
