Despite my disgust for the teams performance last night, I have to say the North is way more than a diamond in the rough. Next season this kid is going to be a certified bad a$$. If we can train a qb to get the receiving corp the ball, and an o line that can protect him long enough to throw the ball, we are going to put up points nearly as good as last year.

Honestly Pig and North both had pretty decent nights as far as completion percentage Dobbs had a pretty decent night. It was the other receivers that couldn't hold the ball and a few thrown at their feet.

Right now we have some exceptional receivers and North is the best of them. Pig and Johnson are definitely the slots and are playing great, and Croom is improving. We just need to shore up the depth here and get Ferguson ready and Dobbs will be a good backup. With Hurd coming in along with Lane the backfield is set. Team will be better next year and improved into 2015 which will be the year we compete for our next title when current Freshman are jr's and recruits are soph's.

160,000 for the 2016 VT game when we start our run for a SEC championship and National Title.

I have to keep reminding everyone that BAMA was 6-6 under Sabans 1st year with a loss to Louisiana Monroe. 2nd season they were 12-2. The previous 6 years to that they were 3-8, 7-5, 10-3, 4-9, 6-6, 10-2, 6-7, 7-6. Does this look familiar. Point is he came in there with a disaster and with a great 1st recruiting class has gotten them back to the top. CBJ will do the same in my opinion!

2016 National Champions???
Sometimes I need an unexpected chuckle.
And now you have CBJ as the next Saban.
Do you have any extra money that I can advise you on a land deal I have going?

I certainly hope so but it sure doesn't make the losses like yesterday sting any less.

North is good enough to start for any team in the country. He is a bonafide stud. Along with Pearson next year the WR corps is gonna be awesome.

Who is gonna block for them? in my opinion, SEC games are won and lost on the line of scrimmage. Everyone (including us) has quality at the skill position - everyone (including Chris Johnson) needs to have some sort of hole in order to excel.

I like 81, too, fade route. He gets open and for the most part catches really well. He'll be a good stop gap until we get Booth, Jenkins and Wharton ready to go.

In your opinion? Believe that's a scientific fact. Anyways, Hurd will create holes. This current line has been designed for three years to pass block so the next crop of guys will make it happen.

I agree. I don't expect 12-2 next year, but I think we hit at least 9 wins in 2014.

He is just saying that EVEN Saban didn't get it done overnight.

J. Smith is going to lose some playing time and I think it will all be given to him.

Agreed, it happened lastnight after Smith dropped that pass. We saw alot of Johnson after that and hopefully going forward its North, Pig, Croom and Johnson. We see why the Coach's are going after so many receivers.

The receiver corps are doing a great job and I expect will continue to improve. Dobbs played overall well for his first start with expected hiccups.
A bigger issue for us going forward to next year is the offensive line. Without good blocking even the best running back will not get out of the backfield and without protection even an elite qb will be ineffective.
We are graduating our entire o-line except tiny, who may go pro ( a huge mistake in my opinion). We need to reload the hosses in front. As said earlier the trenches are the foundation that carries the offense. Never underestimate their importance.

I think North needs 10 catches a game, if we can make that happen then the combo of him and Pig would be all but unstoppable.

Where does this come from? They were both equally rated prospects coming out of HS. In fact, Dobbs was a bit higher regarded by 95% of the services. ESPN had them equal, while all the others had Dobbs as a bit higher. Dobbs played in a tougher league in high school against tougher competition. 6*A Georgia high school is legit, and Dobbs was 2-time first team all state. They were both Elite 11, and Dobbs was a finalist.

I don't have a vested interest in the QB race, but really do not understand where all the "Fergy is better" hype is coming from, other than being a little ahead during summer workouts. By the Bama game, all reports indicated that they were even on the depth chart. Let Dobbs do his thing. He could be a great QB for us. So could Fergy. Both sides are desperate to anoint one or the other as the future of the program and it's beyond ridiculous.

I wonder how many heads will implode when Ferg finally gets his first start as a RFr on the road against a Top 10 team and doesn't look like Johnny Manziel 2.0. Lot of people here going to be disappointed.

The land is actually in Little Elm, Texas. I think that is where Hee Haw was filmed.

this crowd would still say Brandon Stewart is better than Peyton...:(

Similarities are obvious, although I won't compare these two with those two who were the top 2 QBs in their class.
