I'm guessing that means Oklahoma is out and Louisville will play Florida in the Sugar Bowl?

No I believe Louisville is out..

I'm pretty sure that isn't right, the BCS still automatically gets a bid this year, it is Oklahoma that is out which is the reason their coaches were trying to vote NIU down as low as possible.

I'm sure some of you know I graduated from NIU. Very happy. Probably will get rolled by whoever they play. Pretty cool for a little MAC school.

Just verified it. Yup ESPN.com is saying the same thing and it Florida vs Louisville in sugar bowl..Oklahoma. is left out. NIU finished 15th. Above Louisville and Wisconsin. NIU coach took NC State job and will NOT coach in that game.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. This is one way to exploit an idiotic system, I guess. Also, it's fun to see Oklahoma be the team that gets screwed this time.

If the Strong to UT rumors are true, does he even stick around and coach the bowl game as a heavy underdog against UF?

Highly unlikely, us or any other program that might hire him would likely expect him to hit recruiting full time as soon as he is hired instead of waiting around for a bowl game.

I know most of you probably don't care, but NIU already has a new head coach. Maybe the AD actually prepared for this.

Can't blame NIU and the players for doing what needed to be done under the current set-up. Blame the system and not the team.

I meant more in the sense that the ACC's suckitude is now thrust upon us in the form of this abysmal match up.

The last Big East champion's coach who had to play Florida in the Sugar Bowl didn't.

It'll be more embarrassing for FSU when they refuse to show up and actually lose to NIU.

FSU is going to treat NIU about as generously as UGA treated Hawaii a few years back.

Oh well, looking forward to the OU-aTm game, now.

The big winners are the MAC schools who get to share the money NIU will pull in without having to pay to transport a team.
