Anyone else less impressed with his one handed catch then they are the 2 handed grab he went up and took away from the CB? In my opinion, the one handed catch was luck. Granted, the kind of luck that only happens to highly talented athletes, but still luck. And by luck I mean it was the kind of catch you may see a guy make, but he may never make much noise the rest of his career. On the other hand, the other catch that I mention bodes well in that it shows the kind of dominance the tends to repeat itself. Another way to put it is the 4th quarter catch showed great concentration and skill, but the two handed grab showed great athletic ability AND the "every ball in the air is my damn ball" mentality that indicates we have a real star at WR (genius, I know). Anyway, with him pig and Croom, the new JUCO and hopefully Malone, WR U is looking strong.

Yes the two handed grab was pretty damn awesome. He did go up and fight for it. But the other catch was pretty damn incredible to. Looked like he used his right arm to fight off defender while grabbing it with left arm. Luck maybe. Skill. Hell yes. 1 in 10 it happens again. Maybe. But I like his development from game 1. Excited to see him progress.

Very impressed with North this year. Kudos to Jones for having the guts to give true freshman a chance! Here comes TN!!!

There was a lot more at stake with his one-handed grab with little time remaining and no time outs in the fourth quarter. More pressure, therefore I am more impressed with his ability to maintain control of the ball after the catch and contact from the DB.

Go back and look at the one handed catch, he wasn't fighting the defender off the defender was holding Norths right hand down with his left hand. Pass interference all the way and not one flag!!

Agreed. That cornerback had no chance getting that ball over North. He looked like a man playing among boys that play.

I was more impressed with the WKU juggling catch off his knee while on the ground, or maybe the UGA TD catch out of bounds pretty much, that one took some serious concentration, or the catch you're talking about. Hell. They're all good, kid is talented.

The fact that North already has several memorable catches throughout the first half of his freshman year is a good sign for the future of his career.

It wasn't the fact it was a one handed catch...

It was the fact his OTHER hand was being held down by the defense and wasn't flagged for it. Kinda blatant on that play.

There was nothing lucky about that catch. He ran that route, he got held, he put his hand in exactly the right position to make his best play on the ball that he could, and he came down with it.

Luck can die in a fire, North is all skill.

He didn't even need it. He's not trying to be an actor. Often, you'll see a WR throw up both of his hands and hope the ref will make the play for him. He kept fighting and made a play.

His resume is quickly turning into legendary status.

Further proof that he doesn't need luck because he's the real deal, and he plays like a vet.

He got a helmet sticker from Dr. Lou. ESPN doesn't hate us this week.
Won't be the last either.

North is freaking amazing.

You know, not to take anything away from North as he is an amazing athlete, but we are looking at some significant receivers in the next year or so. Pig and North are becoming quite the dynamic duo.

But let's not forget the big play Brendan Downs made as well and has been a pretty significant threat on offense as well as helping shore up the line. Even the clown mentioned he helped keep him out of the backfield in the second half. He's been a good replacement for Rivera.

And if we can get Croom and Smith up to speed and Young back up to speed. Oh Lawd, what a receiving set we can have.

I just like it when our wide receivers catch the ball. The one handed catch was not luck but just plain boss.
