Butch was probably not ready for a job on this big of a stage. That being said we need to get behind him because he's our coach for the foreseeable future. He's recruiting as well as anybody in the country, which is remarkable seeing the state of the program. He like Dobbs is learning on the job. Let's hope they're both fast learners.

I don't think we stand a chance next week against Auburn as we'll be out maned and out coached. Hopefully we beat Candy and KY to get to a much needed bowl. Nothing can be taken for granted with this team.

Dobbs has some talent, but no touch on his deep throws and an inabillity to get it into the endzone.....I am just not seeing the it factor that people have talked about...Bray looked better against SC as a true freshman and you could immediately see his supreme talent and it factor....I'm just not seeing it with Dobbs. 3 points even as a true freshman and with wr drops ain't looking too promising...he resembles worely as a true freshman agsint SC...more so than a future stud....I am eager to see if Riley is any better...

As for Butch....the team has quit on him...oline has regressed ....defense is still awful...is.it really surprising considering what janckeck did at uga? That might as well been a Dooley team out there tonight...

I'm glad my stepson plays for UTC...keeps my mind off the rebuilding process. Its gonna take a year or two for the vols to get back. I'm F tired of waiting.

Throw in a little sense with your griping and you wouldn't get the responses you are.

Plus, you ever seen Worley run as much as Dobbs. You want Riley, would you give him 6 qtrs against top opponents before closing the door. Maybe you need to be our coach.

They just said we threw it 42 times and Neal ran it 8 times for 8 yards. This is a horrible game plan with a freshman QB. Our game plan on both sides of the ball was terrible and non existent. I am a Butch fan but he may have to man up and let some friends go and upgrade.

A lot of that has to do with us trailing virtually the whole time.

This. At least Dooley took this same team to OT last year. This was the worst game plan I have ever seen by a UT coaching staff. Totally exploited our weaknesses on both sides of the ball.

I agree. Georgia Fired Janek because he wouldn't aply pressure to QB's. He damned sure don't know how to mix anything Up and keep offenses guessing...way way over paid staff IMO

This team has gave him and us everything they had. The games are catching up to them. With no depth and the grind of the teams we played. Yes I wish it could be better but its not. I stand behind them 1000% .

Im not saying butch is the answer, Ive questioned the hire from the beginning, but trying to grade a freshman in his first start vs a top ten team is lunacy. Not to mention it was an actual decent performance.

2 interceptions, 1 fumble , and no touchdowns is considered a good performance?

1) freshmen QBs should set the world on fire ..thats what they do
2) ah yes Bray ...that guy that was surrounded by NFL talent and never failed to fail. Great benchmark
3 ) the Oline failed..and you just said the QB was no good. So the D is teeing off on the run gaps with very little respect for the intermediate passing game , Freshman QB is holding the ball too long in obvious passing situations..and the Oline failed.
4 ) defense is awful . The D front has no rotation ..no depth. It is not a coincidence that the best teams have a 3 or 4 deep. We may have a 2 deep. The secondary is basically a freshmen unit . Did you expect them to be great ..somehow epic?
5) a Dooley team? You mean with NFL stud receivers and a tight end and a junior QB with a cannon arm ? Not sure how those guys relate to a freshmen QB , a bunch of freshmen receivers , walkons , and 2 receivers that were running backs last season...

I swear some of you would make great cult followers, if anyone questioned your great leader, they would be hung. I still have an open mind in butch, but tonight was very very concerning for.numerous reasons.....we flat out quit...that is just unacceptable no matter the duration the hc has been here...

How do you claim a depth problem when we were beat in the first quarter? Or what is your excuse for the performance in the first quarter for the last two weeks?

Is it just me, or does Dobbs telegraph the play to the defense? Especially on running plays, he steps into the exchange and makes the play obvious.

I'm pretty sure his inability to score points and his excellent ability to turn the ball over may have had a little something to do with the rest of the team folding.

True freshman. Playing in his second game ever. Just finished his first week practicing with the 1s. Why don't you let him get a few games under his belt before you bring out your pitchfork?

Would you prefer #5 on the depth chart? Because the other three are hurt.

This was a pathetic showing, just admit it. Give OP a break. We run read option all year with Worley who cannot run and are in shotgun all night tonight passing with Dobbs? Not his fault though. Horrible coaching tonight, bad game plan, defense looked like Sunseri defense and offensive line was just offensive. Illegal procedure all night, no pass blocking, no holes for RB. Lane showed some flashes early...why is he not getting more PT? Not negavol but damn we should be able to be frustrated. Too early to say Butch cant coach though. One thing I have seen and commented on before is, he has his system and doesnt seem able to be capable of deviating from it. He has gotten more out of Dooley's recruits than Dooley, so I'll give him time to get his players in. 6-6 with a bowl win though is something I need to see.
