I know y'all want Gruden; and Hart has said proven HC... but.....what if we were to get Chavis as a HC....and were to keep Chaney at OC.....I really think this would be awesome...keeping the real UT blood going and lets face it....Chavis has been apart of a lot of success...and I think it would be a better match at UT than golden or the other 3rd listers if Gruden falls flat....

C'mon man...you know better than that...offensively I think Chaney has got a good thing going...I think we got good recruits with the record we've had...just a good solid mind from a Chavis who still loves UT and has huge ties to the program....just my .02...just hoping for some sort of idea why it's a terrible thought

Yes, pure awesome idea. Get Johnny Majors to coach the special teams and then go find out if Bill Battle is still alive, could be a great addition to the staff.

I don't think the OP is very familiar with the chief. He has said over and over he has NO interest in being a head coach ever, anywhere, period.

HA Chavis is a product of always being surrounded by elite talent that he doesn't even have to recruit. You saw what happened here when the talent started to drop off. Yikes. Not to mention 3rd and Chavis. Did you watch the Bama LSU game this year? LSU defense practically gave them the go-ahead td.

Im not sure if your trolling or serious. Chaney's play calling is terrible.

Not trolling at all...just wasn't very informed as to who Chavis really was....I just know the results on the field....which is why I bought this up...a lot of people on here know a lot more than I do about the history of the program so it only make sense to ask....

i don't like his 3rd and long play calling at all,but i wonder if his recruiting wasn't tied up in the escalating academic requirements, brought on by the academic side wanting to be better ? wasn't that one of the things Hart said needed to be fixed?

of course his record speaks for it's self
