What is your opinion? Is not voting unamerican? It looks like the options for POTUS at this point will be Obama, Santorum, and/or Romney.

I might be able to suck it up and vote Romney, but I am seriously considering leaving the POTUS vote blank on my ballot.

I'm going to vote for Huntsman and hope like hell the GOP is able to maintain control of the House and gain a majority in the Senate.

that's the only way a second term for Obama doesn't result in the US resembling Greece in 2016

I'm 90% sure I'm voting Gary Johnson. Part of me thinks a lot of the reason I dislike some of Romney's positions is because he is playing to the far right to convince them, but if he changes his tune in the general, then it still makes him a weak candidate.

To not vote is a slap in the face to every man and woman who has given their lives for this amazing country. Not meaning to sound like a jerk but, even if you do not agree 100% with any candidate, vote for the one who you most agree with.

voting for President is a fairly new institution

like Rush (the band) says in "Free Will", "You can choose not to decide, you still have made a choice."

What if there are no candidates on my general election ballot for POTUS that I even agree 50% with? Should I vote for the lesser evil?

I don't see it that way. We have the freedoms to choose because of those people

not even 50%? Not sure how that's possible

The older I get, the more I think that voting is a waste of time.

Considering the ignorance of most of the electorate, it is almost more patriotic for them not to vote and save the rest of us from their ignorance.

Voting is a right, like any other. You can not be obligated to exercise a right any more than you can be obligated to not exercise one.

I think you should still go to the polls for local elections, unless the choices are just as bad.

What this country really needs is a "none of the above" option. NotA would get plenty of electoral votes this year...

Maybe I am young and idealistic, but I was taught from a young age that voting was a sovereign American right, that being said, I completely agree that there is no "run-away" candidate for me, but a candidate that is the lessors evil is who gets my vote.

Really? I don't think so. I probably disagree with 95% of everything Bush and Obama have done.

I have decided to not vote in the primary.

I never vote in the primary. I am not a member of either party and I think it is unethical to vote for who will represent a party if you are not part of it. The democrats should get to decide who represents the democratic party and the republicans should get to decide who represents that republican party.

I do vote in the general election though.

All that does is contribute to the problem.

This is a tough one. I'll vote Romney if it looks like he has a chance. Won't vote Santorum. Won't vote Obama. Could vote Johnson.

I'll vote one way or the other but not enthusiastically. I don't see a problem with not voting either.

I'll be voting 3rd party this year, unless something crazy happens at the GOP Convention.
