nothing on Duke/MD, UConn/ND or LSU/FL? I'm shocked.

2 big games and one SEC game that should have had our interest.

Duke/MD was good for a while. i was really impressed with MD in the 2nd half for coming back and making it close. I was more impressed with Duke's shooting though. every time MD got close, Duke would drain a couple of three's and boom, back up by 8 or 9.

Duke will be a scary draw for most anyone they play, they seem to me to be a bettery shooting version of us.

MD on the other hand, didn't play awful, they just didn't execute. so many high % baskets not falling....it got to be ridiculous after a while. 2 and 3 chances at the offensive end and come away with nothing. got several turnovers that resulted in 0 points. Duke can be had, but the will make you account for the perimeter. betweek Siegler, Paulus, Schier (sp?) and Henderson, they can all shoot it.

UConn/ND...great game. UConn is coming to life at the right time. they are going to cause problems giong forward, and i won't be shocked one bit to see them win the Big East tourney and wind up a 3 seed in the NCAA.

ND is no slouch either. i'd like to see these two hook up again in the big East tourney. they're no worse than a 4 seed today imo.

LSU/FL....i really didn't see that coming. makes me wonder how much of a fluke our game was with them. it also makes me uneasy about my confidence when discussing our upcoming game at the O dome. i have no choice to but to acknowledge that we should beat the Gators in G'ville. the youth for hte gators is showing up more and more of late. ARK, TN, LSU....it's showed big.

Duke is looking great, but its singler and scheyer. Close though.

I've noticed alot of commentators and posters on here say that UNC's next real test is at Duke, and I think that can be said for Duke as well, especially if everyone is healthy by then on UNC.

Duke may not have a great inside and rely on the 3 ball too much, but they continue to get it done and the shots seem to just fall their way, but even when they don't their defense seems to step up to get those back court steals. I'm really interested in seeing how they will play in the ACC tournament with back to back games as well as the national tourney.

Lawson being healthy for UNC will present Duke with a different looking team to prepare for. but at Cameron....i always like that game better at Cameron. I think UNC plays better than the 1st game, but if Duke is shooting, they're simply going to be very difficult to beat.

I agree. I hope Duke wins that game and with everyone healthy. So many people at work(90% UNC people), were saying they lost because they didn't have Lawson in. It would be nice to prove them wrong, that they still weren't a great looking team even with him.

UNC's luster has worn off as the season has gone on, but they're a better team with TL. i still think Duke gives them all they want even with a healthy UNC taking the floor.

It should be interesting to see if LSU can follow the win at FL with a win at home against Kentucky.

my gut says that it could be an ugly game. KY has been not that great lately and LSU has been abnormally good.

it should be an ugly game.:)

the biggest thing I got out of last night's hoops games was that Dayton is continuing it's spiral towards the NIT. Absolute inexcusable loss.

I saw Dayton once this year (I think the Pitt game). They were awesome. They played with incredible speed/energy. It was some high voltage stuff. Unbelievable that they are imploding.

the Dukes have actually been playing pretty well of late, and my wife, a Duquesne alum, was thrilled.

she's now trying to get me to take her to the Dukes/Niners game here in Charlotte in a couple of weeks.......:eek:hmy:

UNC is easily 10 points better than Duke with Lawson. I would also expect Psycho Teabag to score a lot of points with someone to get the ball to him that is more consistent than Q Thomas. It will be at Cameron, which should make it close, but I fully expect UNC to beat Duke.

they have to get Lawson on the court soon. I would agree ten points better than Duke at Chapel Hill and likely in tourney play on a neutral floor, but if Lawson spends much more time on the bench, his timing won't be up to snuff for a game at Cameron which could make it interesting. Especially if Duke can waste five fouls and 20 minutes with Zoubek on Teabag.

UNC would have won that game with a 100% healthy Lawson. No question - don't even try to argue with your co-workers... because they're right.

Now it may be different this time around since it's in Cameron and homecourt always makes the difference in tough games in CBB.

You don't need proof. It's too obvious.

Only major homers would say otherwise.e

Nah - not really. But I would find it hard for UNC to lose that game if Lawson played at 100%. But I do expect Duke to come out on top in Cameron.

I can't see UNC losing to Duke with Lawson. I also think UNC will go to Cameron and win provided they are 100%.

I think UNC would have won at home with Lawson, but dont think they will win at Cameron. They have lost some of their luster as the season has gone on

That's because they've played for 2 weeks without their most important cog.

Even if Florida needs to beat UT to get into the tournament, I just don't see it happening. And I agree with the assessment that Florida's youth is finally showing.

Don't think so man....Not the way Duke shot the ball from behind the arc. I don't expect Duke to shoot it that well again, so the Cameron game and probably the ACC-CG game will be a toss up....UNC will definately win one out of the two if not both though...

Thats a big IF Duke even makes it to the finals in the acc tourny..
