If you are playing the best 3 point shooting team in the nation and stay in a zone...it happens.

I understand this will be viewed as an acceptable loss but it has to be the most dissapointing imo this season

When any double-digit loss at home is viewed as acceptable, you have lost the right to call yourself an elite program.

I thought the LSU loss was pretty disappointing.

They have a top 5 recruiting class every single year, so something's wrong. Either they're targeting the wrong type of player for the system or they flat out can't coach.

yes why did Holly stay in a zone.. I never saw man to man all night ... There are high school coaches better . I will never understand why UT don't search out for the better coaches. :peace2:

Once again we prove that we are not among the elite programs right now. Top 10? Sure. Not top 5 however.

:eek:lol: Top 10 , are you drunk ? where are they a top 10 in any sport ? Not Cosmos and the men.. they could care less imo.. a loss is not big deal.. The football team at least played to the end of the game as bad as they were.. Cosmos and the boy are to cool to play to hard. Now the girls have no idea how to win against a tough opponent. :peace2:

Who the heck is Cosmos? I was talking about women's bball, didn't think it was that ambiguous. And yes, I say top 10 because they're currently ranked 11th. Which, if you do the math, is right in the top 10 area. Would it make you happier if I said top 15? IMO the difference between the top 5-25 teams is pretty small compared to the ability of the top 5 or so.

I think its time for a reality check. Its not what we should have / could have done - its what we did :(
Based on our performance to date we are not a top ten team

I'll bet there are many high school coaches that are better than even WNBA coaches. There are plenty of college coaches that got there by being in the right place or through politics. Holly might be one of them. It's like any other profession, some are good some are not.

College coaching requires talent a lots of different things. Very few people are good at all the tasks coaches must master. For instance, Muffet McGraw is a great coach but a lousy recruiter. Notre Dame's recruiting didn't take off until Niele Ivey came on board.

you are probably right, but big time schools are going to be looking at college coaches ,i have wondered why smaller schools don't look in the high school ranks more, instead of GAs and such,of course you have to figure in the ability to recruit, which makes it hard on them, since they don't do that,or aren't suppose to any way,but you do see high school players that have attended different schools a bunch, especially in football

Probably more came out of HS than you'd think. I had a relative that played football in HS in New Jersey. His coach was Vince Lombardi.

I totally expected Notre Dame to beat them. Duke is always overrated every season.
