Sorry, but I can't agree. We had our chance to "prove" ourselves vs UGA and SCjr and didn't get it done. 2 losses is 2 losses and all of those playoff teams have better records.

I don't think anything was proved except UT has a quality starting QB next season and the defensive coaches can coach them up. Clemson was the perfect team to play because their QB did not have enough experience to expose the DB's. The strength of their offense was the run and the strength of the UT defense is the run, checkmate.

It’s a catchy SoundBite but it’s not that big of deal. It’s just a matter of fact.

LSU team that won natty is mostly all gone with a new coach after Ed O went .500 two seasons after winning natty. Clemson has still been strong with being 10+ wins each of the last 3 seasons. Bama to me i don’t care they one of the last four title winners. Ending that streak is much more of a monumental data point than beating one of the last 4 title teams.
