Things to mention from my absence

- First off I would like to immediately send my thoughts and prayers to anybody caught up in the hurricane, I hope you all made it through.

- Ainge is named the starter. Good. I think having Clausen gives us a great strength at the QB position, but Ainge just opens up more offense.

- About the Pac-10 vs. SEC thing... I will leave it at saying you guys can think what you think, I'll think what I think but any debate is bad juju. Let's just root on for the Vols, here.

- Southern California is a great place. Period. Everybody needs to spend a weekend there sometime in their life.

Speaking of football in SoCal...

I stopped by Jimmy Clausen's high school on Sunday, Oaks Christian right outside of Thousand Oaks, in northern LA County. That school is NICE. Wow. I could only dream of playing ball at a place like that.

I spent a weekend in LA a few years ago. Thought I was gonna die on the interstate on the way to the hotel. Those people can't drive.

Hehe... I was dodging traffic like crazy in a rental Chevy Malibu. It was alright.

Beutiful country though. Like to visit San Diego sometime.

Same here. I also go to go north to Santa Barbara, visited some vineyards and the shoreline area around there. Amazing scenery.
