CBJ will have a decision to make. Based on how he has handled things to this point, I'm going to predict that unless Worley can't grip the football to throw it, he will start Worley against Mizzou.

The majority of the Vol Nation will most likely strongly disagree with this since they actually saw a QB playing in CBJ's offense that actually looked good doing it.

Going to be an interesting week coming up.

Now that the redshirt is off so are the gloves. Look for Worley to struggle to compete with his hurt thumb.

Regardless this really puts the pressure on Worley to play well from the beginning to end. The redshirt is off I think Worley has a short hook because Dobbs played with poise in that second half.

Dobbs showed me a WHOLE LOT, but he needs to work w/ his receivers AFTER practice EVERY day this week to get their timing down............if he is a leader then he will get that done !!

Key part is poise. Imagine if he took first team reps all week. Hopefully this isn't like Peteman I second half of Oregon. Dobbs looks legit

Worley needs to stick to being a back up for Dobbs. Thumb or not. Dobbs is and will be quicker and more accurate.

If Dobbs does not start next week, many fans, including myself, will be disappointed.

I do appreciate worley being a vol. Hes done something that 99.9 % of us on volnation couldnt do. Suit up for the big orange. That being said i think we saw the future of this team in the 2nd half. The freshman qb played with well making some nice runs and good throws. Somebody has to catch a ball that hits them in he hands dont they?

This wek will be interesting to say the least

Hope Dobbs is the starter the rest of the season unless he completely blows up. He has more zip on his passes than Worley and looks to be more accurate.

I was shocked how good he played, he can run good, pro arm, and has great ball placement. He played against Bama starters and did very well.

I don't understand what is so special about a redshirt. If Ferguson is better than Dobbs, play him. Almost anyone (except Peterman) would look better than Worley. Dobbs was good, but that doesn't mean he is the best we have.

Well I was very impressed with Dobbs. Very poised! I can't imagine him not starting next week. I appreciate Worley being a Vol, etc but Dobbs just adds so much more.

Dobbs makes the read option more effective and can throw accurately
So... why would we not use him?

Because nobody other than hearsay have said Riley was in fact better. They were 2a and 2b on the depth chart, so it wasn't anything more than a marginal gap anyways.

Dobbs looked great for a true freshman against the #1 team in the country, why are you so defensive about Ferguson? There's nothing that arguing on a message board can do to change the fact that Dobbs played, and played well today. I would be willing to bet that Dobbs is now ahead on the depth chart regardless after his play today.

Thing is, the completions Worley has made are based on him taking time to aim and eye down receivers. On the other hand, Dobbs threw quick bullets. He's the future. I respect Worley, but.....its odvious.

Dobbs is obviously the most dangerous QB we have fielded so far this year. He scored more points on the Alabama defense in 2 quarters than the previous 4 teams combined. I can't imagine a scenario that he doesn't start for the rest of the year.
