Now that we've seen Dobbs...

Dobbs looked like he was in charge. I'm not going to lie. I jumped out of my seat when he ran around the corner for the first down. It's been a very long time since that has happened. I'm a fan.

No knock against Worley, but I have been waiting all year to see Dobbs. I was not disappointed at all and think the future just got brighter.

If Worley starts next week, then at least we know Worleys mom is dating CBJ or maybe even Worley himself.J/K,J/K, Just kidding!

At least the other teams will have to go back to the drawing board on figuring us out. It looked like Dobbs has better distance than Worley. Yes?

Dobbs has zip on his throws....pretty sure Bob K said the young man can spin it at least once today.

Why would you burn a guys redshirt to sit him on the bench? I think Dobbs showed enough to start, now that the RS is gone!

I liked what I saw with Dobbs would like to see Fergy play to see who is better. I do think we are in better shape at QB with either one of them

I think it is going to be very hard not to start Dobbs going forward. Even if you don't consider what he gives you from a mobility standpoint.

What about Ferguson?

Man Ferguson has performed well in practice I'll give you that but at every scrimmage Dobbs has out performed him. Ferguson is a good player so is Dobbs. Ferguson is a roll out passer and wouldn't add that new dimension Dobbs adds

Keeps his redshirt. If Dobbs is for real then he may be gone after Jr. season and has 2 years.

I highly doubt this Dobbs puts a high value on education and is studying Engineering he's gonna stay and finish. Unless he graduates early then yes. Remember this guy had offers to every IVY league school

Based on what I saw, Dobbs should get a real shot at starting. I think Worley's job the rest of the season is to protect Ferguson's red shirt. The long game is that you can keep the possibility of Ferguson starting in his senior year after Dobbs is done. Ferguson can have his shot at the starter's spot during spring practice and push Dobbs. Based on how CBJ had to use his QBs at Cincinnati, I expect Ferguson knows that seeing the field is a real possibility.

Because the other QBs are injured.

According to Jones, it was a coaches decision to go with Dobbs over Ferguson, and not because of an injury. Worley could've played in the 2nd half as well, according to him.

I like Wore;y but he is just rerally bad at5 throwi8ng the ball...Dobbs looked like a more poised and mobile version of Bray out there when Bray was a true freshman....it's not even close...Dobbs should be the starter for Mizzou...kid gives us the it factor at QB that we desoerately need.

Worley has the talent to be a decent pocket passer (don't laugh he does and note I said decent not great or good) but he just can't make the leap. He has a tendency to think too much and try too hard and it kills him. He reminds me of a poker player who antes himself out of the game.

He's also no longer a freshman or sophomore and Coach Cut isn't here to develop him. I hate this for him because he's given a lot to us and his heart can't really be questioned. I really wanted him to keep progressing and feel for him. A lot of his problems are probably on the prior coaching staff. However, I think he should seriously consider a future in coaching as a fallback plan -- he's meticulous, works hard at preparation, and has good organizational skills.

Dobbs should be our starter from now on or at least get reps to earn it in practice. There's no reason not to get him the experience and no reason to burn Fergy's redshirt just to give him a shot.

Here's the thing: I understand Worley was playing injured. He was really giving his all for Tennessee there at the end of the second half. Scrambling to avoid loss of yardage, smashing the guy that intercepted him - he was really trying. I was a Worley fan this season, and I have a world of respect for him. But now that Dobbs' RS has been burned, JW has a major obstruction in his way in terms of starting at QB the rest of the season, and that is this:

Josh Dobbs played better today than Worley has even when healthy.

Start Dobbs. Nothing to lose and everything to gain. It was instantly obvious that he gives our offense an edge we haven't had yet this year. Play him.

Let's just win 2 more games and go bowling. I'm not sure either Dobbs or Ferguson is the answer for the future, however.

I'm just hoping the coaches don't decide who starts the rest of the season today. Dobbs is definitely in the lead after the game, but what he has earned is not to be #1 but to be tied with Worley for #1 heading into practice this week.

Btw, I don't think I've seen a QB handle road games as differently than home games like Worley before. Worley at home and Worley on the road are two completely different animals.

I remember watching the film on Dobbs from his high school days and being amazed at how good he was. I also felt the same way about Jalen Reeves-Maybin who we converted into an OLB/Special Teams guy. They were both good QB's back then but I am starting to see why the coaching staff developed them the way they did.

Dobbs should start against Mizzou. If there is any doubt in Worley's hand at all, then its a no brainer in my opinion.
