Now that we've seen Dobbs...

well unless riley completely sucks which I dout then why transfer he would be second string since Peterman will probly never see another start at QB for UT...and Worley will more then likely be beat out by both...dobbs and riley are butch guys and butch knows what he likes why u think dobbs did so well cause he knows how to run the butch jones system

got to start dobbs rest of the year and have a real QB battle for next year

Dobbs should play til he loses.
That should be sometime next season.
5-0 finish.

Dobbs reminds me of Holloway and Streater with his ability to extend plays and will get a lot better with more experience.

A quarterback like Worley can be an excellent player on a team where everyone else is solid in their position. However, when you have a team that has talent issues at key positions and depth issues all over the field, a versatile quarterback like Dobbs is really a much better option.

We don't have the talent and depth to simply line up and run our offense like a machine, so a guy who can break down plays like Dobbs can make special things happen and will be very valuable to us. It may not be a matter of one quarterback being a better choice universally than the other, but it may come down to timing in the program.

He just seems to find an open WR, and if there isn't one, manages to put the ball in his hands/chest.

We run an offense that benefits greatly from at least the threat of the QB occasionally running the ball, and yet every defense knows that isn't going to happen with Worley in the game. Not only did I like the zip on Dobbs' passes, but he adds another wrinkle to the offense that defenses have to account for. It's all positive with him at QB.

Nothing against Worley, but the best man gets the position, and I think the best man is Dobbs.

Been hoping to see Dobbs play since this past spring. Watched his hilight footage from highschool. I shouted at the TV a few games wanting Dobbs to step in for Worley this season :) It was worth the wait, the kid has a damn laser cannon on his arm, and is always smiling when I see him at work. Looks to be a future UT star QB. CBJ, start Dobbs next weekend!!!

Off topic: Your user name makes me drool like Pavlov's dog.

Thanks

Go Vols!!!

I'll have to say...I was really impressed with Dobbs. I quit watching the game at halftime as it was apparent where it was going and I had things that needed to get done. I came back late last night to watch the second half on the DVR after reading the comments by folks on here about his play. I figured everyone was just over doing it about him. However, I was very impressed. If the receivers had caught everything that hit them in the hands, he would have been 9 of 12 passing. Two passes were clearly off the mark, He made very quick decisions and his passes have a LOT more zip than Worley's. Worley really tends to float the ball. Dobbs obviously is more mobile than Worley. He actually looked pretty good playing against the Bama first team. I've NEVER been an advocate of pulling Worley as I thought he deserved time to mature at his position. However, I think Worley has gotten as good as he is going to get. He is a 55% passer who continues to completely miss wide open receivers on many occasions. I really like the kid, but Dobbs definitely showed a lot of potential. If Worley is anything less than 100% next week, I hope Dobbs gets the start.

Now that we've seen him, we might as well use him. Worley is injured. Peterman is injured and RF is being redshirted. If Dobbs is as good as everyone thinks it won't matter much in 2 more years as he will leave early for the NFL and won't be around. The team will then be RF anyway.

CBJ will shock the world and start Ferguson Saturday! jk, hope we stay with Dobbs. He gives us the best chance to win based on what I saw saturday (which granted isn't all that much)
