Which plan do you agree with. I agree with Trump on rebuilding bigger and better towers. He made a great statement by saying "If something happened to the Statue of Liberty, you wouldn't rebuild it as something other than the Statue of Liberty."

agreed, anything less than rebuilding the twins would be acknowledging the enemy. I say walk 10 feet tall, chest out...tell em do your worst....there wont be anymore sucker punches. :punch_bag:

I hope that the Freedom tower is not the final plan. American can not back down to gutless terrorists. :thefinger:

I don't see how building a freedom tower is backing down to terrorists.

Let me tell you this about Trump, he doesn't care about the freedom tower because it would symbolize backing down to terrorists. He is interested in it because it would be great ratings for his show.

I hear the commercial now...."Who will the apprentice be that's going to build the world trade centers back?"

Please.

I like the idea of building the towers back, but not so he can get rich off the publicity of it!

Im just thinking how hard it will be for people to go to work in them if they look exactly the same. Mostly if they worked in them before. JMO!

I totally agree with that. I could cares less if Trump went to the poor house tomorrow. But the sad thing is that he is the only person with enough power to even get time to explain his point. As he said in that article "I only have the power of persuasion" as everyday averages joes little me don't even matter. :(

Well, it's like they say Smokey..."Money talks." If anyone else would have brought up the idea of building the towers back, I would feel better. Trump is just doing it for more personal gain.

I think I've got a solution everybody can agree on. It's feasible AND would do a great job of sticking it to those a-rab terrorist sunsab****hes.

The point is Trump made the statement on behalf of many, many New Yorkers and Americans who felt the Freedom Tower was a lame idea. He just had the way to get the sentiment out in the public forum. I'm not a Trump fan, but I appluad him for doing so.
