Late 90s, can't remember exactly

Late 90's? oh...before the BCS...well now if you are in the top spot...you have to play for the BCS points.
Bama didn't run up the score..Tennessee just couldn't stop them...hell Tennessee should have put in the 2nd and 3rd string D when they were down by 28...no use in playing your starters when there was no chance in winning.

And when it does, I hope our coaches remember your classlessness and bush league effort to run the score up on us tonight...throwing deep and going for it on 4th down when up by more than 4 TDs.

Saban will leave the program or retire. Once that happens, "O bama" will still have a loaded roster, but their recruiting will immediately spiral downwards. Once recruiting falls off, it will just be a matter of time before they will be our victim again.

They can't stay on top forever!!!!!

:clapping: If saban coached at Kentucky , Vandy , etc he would be no better than the coaches they have had.. Its hard to not win :cray: when you have all 4 and 5 star player.... plus he has a cush schedule

:whistling:

Ain't that the truth?

I didn't find any play tonight classless. If we give up, then he gives up. We didn't give up till the last few minutes and I wouldn't expect him to do anything differently.

What goes around comes around. Saban won't be there forever and you won't be winning NC's forever.

Are you just on here to brag or discuss football?:shakehead:

Seems to me he is getting a bit tired of it all there in Tusk A Losa and needing a "new" challenge...

Remember when floriduh got dropped in the polls for RUNNING UP THE SCORE?

Yes, that did happen in the late 90's, right after the computer polls started to be given credence. Spurrier took note and started throwing bombs when up 40+ deep into the 4th. He wasn't the only one, but his team was elite.

One week, they beat some Directional Tech by 60+ and still had starters in near the end. Computers loved it, but the AP or Coaches (don't remember which) were so fed up with the trend, that they moved Fla from first to second that week. It was a one week statement.

The very next year, the computers dialed down the margin of victory aspect of the computation and the blatant running up of the score was curtailed.

Have to agree with that part, they play TN every year.

yep I luved it:clapping:

How much would you have loved it if McCarron had snapped an ankle while still throwing passes up 32 points with 7 minutes left?

And don't give me that "it's the defense's job to stop them" crap. Playing any starting QB that late in the game against an out-manned team is an ignorant risk.

there is no such thing as running up the score.

I agree. You are to stop other team, not whine for pity like some so-called fans here. Whiny, gutless creatures make me sick and Voldom should disown them.

I hope the FANS remember:
Filling Neyland and doing their stupid rammer bammer thing.

Their cockroaches painting the rock.

They chanting "we just beat the hell out of you" this year.

I know I am missing a bunch of stuff. Point is when we get them we need to make them feel bad.

The fans chanted that the last seven years. Just sayin'...
