It's amazing how we can essentially keep running the same 2-3 running plays and the defense still can't stop it. Credit to the big boys up front and Glen Elarbee for his excellent coaching. Survived multiple injuries as well. I am just curious as to who will be able to return next season and how different it's going to look?

Mincey, Sprag, and Mays can come back if they want to.

Now whether or not they can grade out high enough to get drafted will affect their decisions.

I'm still not okay with running the ball up the middle the first 3 plays of the second-half. We closed out the first-half with possession of the ball and had an opportunity taking the kickoff after halftime. Instead we went 4 and out. We should have been a little bit more creative there, IMO.

We still commit far too many holding penalties, but considering the overall lack of talent in that OL room right now, Elarbee has done an exceptional job in his first 3 years. We have some promising young talent coming in with the next recruiting class. I think Elarbee is a good developer and if we can ever have the talent to match his coaching we’ll have elite OL play.

Right now, we’re probably playing above our talent level which is a testament to his coaching. Just….please cut down on the holding penalties.

Gotta give the big guys some credit. They are the walking wounded and they are still strapping it up for game time. They gave Milton time to survey and throw and he had his best game of the year. They also punched holes in the Kentucky D all night long and we rushed for over 200 yards again. 5 Game balls for the big guys.

Bought a Joe Milton jersey after Saturday's win. Just bought one of Sprags' number 76 jerseys as well. He made me a fan when I saw the footage of that South Carolina defensive back grabbing his plushie gamecock out of his hand after we crushed them. That dude is lucky that that assistant coach diverted Spraggins. Sprags was going to end him, lol.

Give them a ton of credit. But though they look similar, UT runs more than 2-3 run plays. The RBs are taught to read the D and find the hole. Generally you will see UT's RBs try to keep it inside to take advantage of UT spreading the D out. Doesn't make much sense to take a DB to the sideline to cover someone then break a run toward the sideline. The blocking is often different from play to play. Many things change when UT has an HB as lead blocker as opposed to spreading the D wide.

There's a lot more going on there than you are seeing by just watching the RB.

Also with zone blocking scheme you can run the same play twice and the blocking will be different depending on what the defense shows/reacts.
