Could we fill our needs in next year's class with in-state lineman?

I'm thinking Long, Bullard, Jackson, and Easterwood ( I think)
Unless there is a stud wanting to come, four should do.
Not sure if any of those are locks though.

I think long is a longshot. no pun intended. He has tons of offers and really seems to like florida and bama.

With just the instate talent alone we will be doing ok if we get them.

I think we are in good shape with Shrive and that was before Stokes. With Stokes on board that should help with him I hope.

I think Andre Harris will be a Vol, 95% on that one anyway.

Bullard, Harris, Wesley Johnson, Daniel Hood, Zak Tait = What I think will be our OL commits.

Pretty good group imo and you put Shrive with that group and it would be outstanding.

I agree with Shrive. Saw his tape. He is a beast. I think if we could get him to commit early, he along with Stokes, could help with others from Penn.

I would take:

Alex Bullard
Andre Harris
Eric Shrive

Then get picky over

Austin Long (take him if he WANTS to come)
Morgan Moses
Pete White
Xavier Nixon ( see Long)
Johnnie farms
Kamran Joyer
Aubrey Phillips

I saw the video on Moses. Holy cow! He is unbelievable. He has a take down on almost every play. He absolutely destroys defensive linemen. No doubt, he is the best OL prospect in the country. He is huge! He also moves very well.

He's also going against wee little highschool defensive linemen.

This guy looks amazing, but you also have to consider the competition.

theres not too many people who wouldnt be little in front of him

That's true. That's one reason why it's hard to evaluate linemen. Are they just stronger than everybody else or do they actually use technique?

But a guy this big seems like a no-brainer

Yea I think Moses gets his ranking from being so athletic with his size, so they kinda push his played against rating under the rug. They probably judged him on who he plays against at first when he was no existent and now on his potential and athletics to make him the top OL in the country.

Hell he played TE at first so he has to be somewhat nimble, but growing 4 more inches from his freshman year to now is unreal.

Nixon would be huge for us. But I haven't heard a lot of buzz from UT about him. Any reason? He looks like a beast. And we sure need a new wave of talented OL!
Do we have any shot at Alajajian?
And what ever happened to Filo?
