Capitalism has failed, we all know that. It took a little longer than Communism (well, not really - Cuba is and has been going without Fidel; China seems alright), but the system is both literally and intellectually bankrupt.

But it is almost impossible to fathom the abject failure of the Obama Administration. From historic and inspirational campaign to total shill for the plutocracy.

Obama's pledge to double exports in five years came up again recently. How does he intend to do that?

By hammering the purchasing power of the average US citizen, of course. Heaven forbid the banks have to deal with their debt burden; or that we actually take "the German road to an export economy."

In the back of my mind, I hope this is all a plot to get the "banking clan" behind his 2012 campaign, win re-election, and then pull a Salvador Allende on everybody - or, better yet for the birthers, a Patrice Lumumba.

I hate to say this, but Obama is arm wrestling with Bush the Lesser for "Worst Ever" title.

and yet, you have stated that you've benefited mightily from capitalism. I'd call you a hypocrite and a fraud, but I think that's giving you far too much credit.

China's economy is capitalist in nature, the communists in charge realized that their old Soviet-style communal system couldn't possibly meet the needs of 1 billion citizens. Cuba is experimenting with liberalizing it's economy to allow more capitalism.

You can level the playing field only so much, and only to provide the opportunity, not guarantee an outcome.

Maybe I would have done better under socialism. :dunno:

Regardless, the system has failed in the past (unlike Communism), has failed recently (needed a socialist bail-out), and, although I don't like to go Marxist theory, is probably now in the death spiral Marx predicted (incorrectly) so long ago.

Cuba has experimented with its economy since day one. Voluntarismo, strict command, Special Period, hard currency, smaller market, and now small market. Good luck to them.

Huh? First of all, we don't live in a free economy. Croney capitalism is failing (but is nowhere near dead). The Federal Reserve (government) and congress (again government) are a far bigger threat to the national economy than croney capitalism.

Both Bush and Obama have a long way to go in order to top Woodrow Wilson and FDR.

weak, everybody knows that's a BMW Isetta and the idiot who photoshopped it didn't even bother to edit out the logo on the front.

oh, and Pontiac was killed by GM a couple of years ago. Tell your friend to keep trying.

Agreed. I'll make fun of GM as much as the next guy, but I wish I had two more hands so I could give that photoshop four thumbs down.

btw, the Isetta's cloth sunroof served another purpose, it's also an escape hatch in the event of a frontal collision prevents the front of the car from opening up.
