Healthcare, cap and trade, and now college football?! Is there anything this clown doesn't want to control in this country?

this doesn't bode well for the MWC... everything Obama touches has failed

And people wondered why I wanted Hilary Clinton to represent the democrats. Obama continues to do nothing. People are losing their homes and our president continues to waste time and money fighting the BCS. Pretty sure people being foreclosed on could care less about college football implementing a playoff system. I'm a college football fan with a home and I could care less if there is a playoff system. Couldn't imagine how pissed off I would be if I actually needed help.

I thought George Bush was a bad president but at least he did stuff. Whether it was right or not(he usually wasn't right), at least he wasn't wasting resources on implementing a playoff system.

They just showed him at the Duke-Georgetown game.

I would like to see a playoff system, but it shouldn't happen this way. They have important stuff to worry about.

It's highly unlikely that there will be a playoff anytime soon unless the government gets involved. I talked to a lawyer friend some months ago with a few schools wanted to sue the BCS. I asked him if there were a legit case, and he said that they did have a pretty good case. It's often viewed as an anti-trust issue which would give the government reason to get involved. I'd rather not see elected officials worrying about this because I don't think it's particularly important, but it's at least a better cause than steroids in baseball.

It's not better at all. I'm not saying the steroids thing was good, but this is incredibly stupid.

Is Obama going to step in and tell athletic departments or coaches how much money they can make?

Agree with his stance on the BCS.
Disagree with his involvement.

Should *never* in a million years be up to a POTUS to fix college freaking football.

This.

Although if he does something and it fixes the problem I would be grateful, I don't think it is the government's business to regulate the sport (unless there's safety concerns). But we should save that for the political discussion.

While I think the government does a lot of good things for people, it should leave CFB alone. I don't think Obama will meddle despite these "reports".

I Want a playoff but I can see the arguement that we have bigger problems. As for obama not doing anything, some people need to realize he isn't a king or your father, he can't just make decisions and their implemented. Maybe instead of complaining you should write your congressmen & tell him to convince the leaders of the "party of NO" AKA the GOP to cooperate a little.

Greed is viewed as a bad thing in most systems of morality

Right? So is being a "tea bagger". But, some have taken to calling themselves such. Did they understand the implication, and were still able to reconcile their family values, personal accountability agenda with this as their tagline?

I'll never get politics. How can you say that "doing stuff" and failing miserably is good on any level?
