Obama Considered Putting OBL on Trial if Taken Alive

We had lots of discussions on this in my previous life and it came down to 3 basic options:

1. KIA during the raid.
2. Imprisonment without trial, same as the rest of the detainees(possible military tribunal eventually)
3. Arrested and sent to trial in US court

Each option has moral, political and societal implications, however, in my mind the worst was option 3. That would have been a circus. We would have had protests around the world and potentially alienated many who play friendly with us right now. Please don't misunderstand, I believe in our trial system and would have it used whenever possible. But, for me the best option was that he die on the objective, preferably in his pajamas similar to the way it happened. I was hoping there would be a significant other in the form of a goat in bed with him but am ok with the way it went down.
