I think we're in trouble as a country if we put Obama in office given his low amount of experience and flatout odd stuff like this.

Good thing I don't think he will win. He'll have to get a handful of southern states to suddenly become blue. Only one that *might* is Florida, in my opinion.

My opinion is that supporters of the Clinton/Obama loser will mostly vote for McCain. My dad is one of those. He wants Hilary to win and has already said he will vote for McCain if Obama gets the nomination. Clinton and Obama have been throwing so many spears at each other that you would think they are in two different political parties.

for a guy who's half-Caucasian, Obama has done an awful lot to completely eliminate any trace of "whiteness" from his campaign.

If nothing else, that dishonesty about who he is and where he came from should give all of his supporters cause for concern. You can't position yourself as a uniter while completely abdicating half of your family.

I think what you're noticing is that Obama has chosen not to make race, his or anyone else's, a central platform or focus of his campaign, ala Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton. You may digest things differently, but perhaps it's because you want to.
