Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer slams 'foreign interference' in immigration lawsuit - Scott Wong - POLITICO.com

Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and Chile

As do many citizens, I find it incredibly offensive that these foreign governments are using our court system to meddle in a domestic legal dispute and to oppose the rule of law,” the Republican governor said in a statement shortly after the state’s motion was filed Tuesday evening.

“What’s even more offensive is that this effort has been supported by the U.S. Department of Justice. American sovereignty begins in the U.S. Constitution and at the border,” she added. “I am confident the 9th Circuit will do the right thing and recognize foreign interference in U.S. legal proceedings and allow the State of Arizona to respond to their brief.”

Brewer and her supporters have said the state law is necessary because the federal government has failed to protect the border and enforce immigration laws. But the Justice Department — with strong backing from President Barack Obama — sued to block the Arizona law on constitutional grounds.

Obama Outsources His War on Arizona | Floyd Reports

Hauling the Arizona law before the UN Human Rights council was just one more item in a long list of actions that the vast majority of Americans detest and is one of the main reasons the dhimmicrap party is facing their worst whipping in over 115 years in upcoming elections, even though they cheat worse than Bama, hell they even have a boss named O'Bama!!

Interesting.

So a half a dozen countires want to protest what they consider a rule that is designed to discriminate agianst Hispanics based on ethnic profiling and they want to do it by filing briefs in the case (that have no partiuclar wieight, by the way).

And the solution from the Republican is to blast them for speaking their mind?

Interesting commentary on the role of free speech in this process....

right it's because of teh discrimination that they are filing this case. not the billions of american $$$$ flowing back into their countries from illegals.

Did you really just invoke free speech regarding a legal process, then exacerbate the silliness by applying it to foreign governmental intervention in that process? Please.

Ah yes, let the countries whose immigration laws are much tougher than those Arizona wants to introduce speak out on the issue.

Ask yourself why these countries are speaking out on the issue LG.

Are they doing it because they feel the rights of their nationals are being violated? (Hardly, many of these countries violate the rights of citizens as a matter of policy every day).

Because these illegals bring an influx of money to their respective countries? (much more likely, in fact some of these countries depend on the inflow of American dollars as the backbone of the economy)

Because it gives them an opening to stick it to America? (This is also a huge factor IMO considering the countries involved)

What truly makes me laugh is the notion that they are "intervening."

People ask permission to file amicus briefs all the time. It is not going to add or subtract a thing to the appellate court's consideration of the issues.

If they aren't intervening, why all your silliness about free speech?

His soap box is wet cardboard.

He want's free speech???

Obama taking this to the UN human rights council has to be one of the most idiotic moves in the history of the American presidency.

The UN human rights council is manned by some of the worst offenders of human rights on the planet.

He wants weight??? (wieight?)

He'll feel the weight of the wrath of the American voter come November!!

"a rule that is designed to discriminate agianst Hispanics based on ethnic profiling??"

It is the same law the US federal government and other state governments have on the books!!!!

There is no discrimination against American citizens of Hispanic descent.

There is no discrimination against any foreigner, Hispanic or not, who is the country legally!!

Is it wrong to discriminate against hold up artists, shoplifters, rapists or anyone else who breaks the law??

NO, what this law does is enforce existing law which the Obama administration seems loathe to do!

ACLG does us all a favor to bring his silly arguments here, his stupid party will suffer an almost unprecedented defeat in less than a month, I just hope this isn't a lesson that voters will soon forget!!!
