FOXNews.com - Obama Officials Consider Formal Inquiry Into How Terror List is Used

Three observations from the article............

1. Obama spoke with National Security Council chief of staff Dennis McDonough, homeland security, and counter terrorism adviser John Brennan less than 15 minutes by phone. He then headed to the gym.

2. His aides stayed behind in a secure hotel room to receive briefing and monitor the developments while BHO got in a good workout and worked on his jump shot.

3. He spent more than six hours on a Marine Corps golf course dreaming of being Tiger Woods.

I know if this were a Republican in office, you libs would defend him as well.

Obama has America's best interest at heart. :salute:

I know its late in the year, but I nominate this thread for dumbest, most moronic and insipid thread, of the year.

What would you have him do? If he goes on tv with a press conference, you (meaning FAUX NEWS) would accuse him of speaking before we know the facts.

If he hopped Air Force One to Michigan, you'd accuse him of using a near-tragedy for political grand standing.

If he came back to Washington, you'd accuse him of getting in the way of the intelligence agencies by looking over their shoulders.

Anybody with the first freakin clue would realize that the POTUS in this situation, at this point in time, can do very little other than stay abreast of the situation and progress of the investigation.

1. I hope that he would go on tv and tell us that he's doing everything possible to keep another Islamic terrorist attack from happening again. ( Instead of saying Islam is a religion of peace )

2. Take Air Force One to Michigan and congratulate the passengers for thwarting the attack and declare them heroes. ( Instead of working on his jump shot and golf swing )

3. Go to Washington, meet with intelligence and figure out how they missed this guy after his dad had warned them for six months. ( After all he did fly for an Olympic bid and some so called Nobel Peace Prize Award )

Anybody with any freaking clue ( liberals aside ) would expect their POTUS to show an interest instead of dropping the ball for his aides to pick up and run with it.

Seriously though, I read where the Nigerina muslim who tried to murder 250+ people on Christmas day in Detroit was charged Saturday and could receive a $250,000 fine and twenty years in prison.

Forget the fine, why wouldn't he be eligible for the death penalty for attemptd mass murder??

Napolitano said the system worked, time to move on.

1 Nigerian passenger's Father's report to US Embassy in Abuja.

2 The 23 year old passenger was suspect list but not on "no fly" list, in spite of # 1.

3 While he may have had cleared airport security in Lagos, and who knows how good that is with a good cash bribe/dash.

4 It is unclear if he had to clear security in Schiphol before the flight departed for DTW.

5 The only reason the destruction of the plane was the incompetence of the bomber and the quick thinking of a young Dutch passenger who stopped the Nigerian from further damage.

6 Did he get some of the mix in the Head, where he reported stayed for twenty minutes before the tried to blow up the plane. We need more details.

7 How can you be so smug to add "MOVE ON".

8 As I type Fox News just reported a similar instance from Schiphol to DTW today, Sunday. It is not "MOVE ON" but to fix the broken system to stop folks like this getting on their first plane ride.

In a remarkably candid letter to members of Congress, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said her department could have to delay pursuits of illegal immigrants while waiting for horses to be brought in so agents don't trample protected lands, and warns that illegal immigrants will increasingly make use of remote, protected areas to avoid being caught.

The documents also show the Interior Department has charged the Homeland Security Department $10 million over the past two years as a "mitigation" penalty to pay for damage to public lands that agencies say has been caused by Border Patrol agents chasing illegal immigrants.
