The mortar attack was at a second location, a supposed safe house where the rest of the staff were hiding.

When a detachment of eight Marines arrived to evacuate those people they were ambushed and two Marines killed.

The attackers were highly trained, they were able to land mortar rounds on the sidewalk leading to the front of the building.

Today Hillary Clinton admitted what we knew almost from the beginning; the attack on the United States consulate was led by al Qaeda. In fact, she even admitted that evidence points to the fact that the attack was well planned out and wasn’t the spontaneous act the regime first reported. We can extrapolate from this that there is almost an admission by Hillary Clinton that the You Tube video had nothing to do with the terrorist attack on the anniversary of September 11th, because that video is what was supposed to have spawned this spontaneous attack, if the attack was planned the video can no longer be blamed. The whole lame excuse must be thrown out the window.

Yet Barack Obama is still pushing the false narrative that a You Tube video sparked the attack when clearly the attack was planned well in advance of the airing of the You Tube video in the Middle East. In my opinion it is likely the You Tube video was a secret signal to al Qaeda that the attack was a go and the Egypt protest was a diversionary tactic while the main assault came in Libya.

So instead of admitting that Chris Stevens and the three other Americans are dead because he failed to listen to the warning signs and protect our fellow Americans he is shifting the blame for the deaths of these people on to some film maker who made a video that nobody had ever seen before.

If any American deserves blame for the deaths of these three Americans it is Barack Obama for failing to live up to his number one duty as president–protecting the American people.

Another point, it is the duty of each and every government to protect the embassies and consulates of all foreign governments in their country.

If the Libyan government knew about the impending attack, then why did it not send it's own troops to protect our consulate in Benghazi.

Why is Obama not on to the Libyan president like the proverbial stink on a skunk rather than blaming some Egyptian film maker with ties to hezbollah for making a shoddy little video then Obama tells the American people that we must be careful not to offend moslems.

That's like crapping in our dinner plate and then smearing it in our faces.

But it would appear that many of us here have become accustomed to crap sandwiches and appear to relish them.

It will work itself out. There is no doubt that Obama tried to do a spin job and is currently being exposed for it.

The real question is whether he knew about the threat before the attack. I am not sure I have heard anything definitive about that yet.
