Obama sells out Britain

The US does what it takes to get the upper hand in any situation. I doubt Obama had anything to do with the terms of the agreement, directly.

you would defend hitler wouldn't you.

No, but I'm not defending the US's actions, just saying that Obama most likely didn't have direct involvement in the discussions. And Obama is not anything like Hitler.

leave it to Obama and company to screw over an ally while placating an enemy. The US had no business giving Russia information on Trident missiles that Britain possesses. Britain isn't a party to the START treaty.

Article III, Section 3, Paragraph 1, of the Constitution of the United States:

"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or, in adhering to their Enemies, giving them aid and comfort."

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Hussein Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” — Author Unknown

You're a fool if you think only Obama, and not every other US politician since WW2, has done this exact same sort of thing. And every other nation for that matter. On to the article:

Washington lobbied London in 2009 for permission to supply Moscow with detailed data about the performance of UK missiles. The UK refused, but the US agreed to hand over the serial numbers of Trident missiles it transfers to Britain.
Professor Malcolm Chalmers said: “This appears to be significant because while the UK has announced how many missiles it possesses, there has been no way for the Russians to verify this. Over time, the unique identifiers will provide them with another data point to gauge the size of the British arsenal.”

UK agreed to disclose the quantity of their stockpile, it looks (due to US arm-wrestling I'll wager). The US is giving the #SNs to verify the data because they're manufactured and maintained in the US. We're not selling them out... the UK is finally playing by the same "rules" the US and Russia have been for many years now.

We're doing this while posturing ourselves as the supplier of a missile shield in Poland. Welcome to politics.

I think it's a little naive to think the Russians didn't already know most if not all this info. Spying/counter-intelligence didn't stop with the Cold War. Political PR. Just getting us to admit something in public they already knew. I'd bet the U.K. sees it the same way.
