Moonbattery » Obama Gives Half a $BILLION of Our Money to ACORN Crony

An ACORN official (Joe McGavin) will go from operating a corrupt leftist community group that’s banned by Congress from receiving federal funding to controlling over $445 million in U.S. taxpayer funds. The money is part of a $7.6 billion Treasury Department program to help the “unemployed or substantially underemployed” make their mortgage payments.

McGavin is director of the Illinois Hardest Hit Program, which funnels our money to Obama’s homies back in Chicago.

Before that he was director of counseling for ACORN Housing in Chicago and operations manager for a Chicago ACORN offshoot called Affordable Housing Centers of America (AHCOA). His strong ties to ACORN make him a suspect candidate to handle such a huge amount of taxpayer dollars.

That’s putting it mildly. But then, the same goes double for Obama himself.

The Obama-tied community organization supposedly shut down after a series of exposés about its illegal activities, including fraudulent voter registration drives and involvement in the housing market meltdown.

Obama has chosen however to ignore the ban.

Sooooooooooo typical of this renegade administration.

We sure are giving a lot of money away for a country that's broke. When Obummer talked about extending lines of credit he wasn't kidding.

Yeah, like when the GOP led Congress and the last GOP president handed out trillions in spending deals and tax breaks, even as the deficit soared.

Face it: the party in charge uses tax payer money for political payoffs while the other bitterly complains. As soon as the complaining party gets in charge, they do the same thing.

You think if the GOP gets control they will zero out discretionary spending and reduce Medicare benefits ? Please.

Nothing new, you marks aren't likely to take off you blindfolds anytime soon.

I'd love to see an audit of just how that $500m of taxpayer money is spent.

I didnt ask anything about an audit, I just simple asked if there is a legitimate source for this, because I have yet to see one.

You mean you don't consider the smoldering pus that oozes out of the shriveled infarction between GS's ears to be a legitimate source?

You're suffering from a bad case of the fantods and sadly, in your case it's probably compounded by terminal stupidity.

Which part of the excerpt do you maintain isn't the truth?

Former Chicago ACORN Official funded with $445 million by Obama Administration - Bob Beauprez - Townhall Finance Conservative Columnists and Financial Commentary - Page 1

The man who once ran the Chicago housing programs for ACORN, the notoriously corrupt, scandalous community organization, is now the director of a new Illinois housing assistance program funded with $445 million by the White House. In the Obama Administration waste, fraud, abuse, and corruption aren't rooted out – they get repackaged and rewarded with a huge budget increase.

Remember the outrage over the exposure of ACORN travesties including voter fraud and offering advice on tax evasion that led to Congress overwhelmingly voting to defund the scandal plagued organization (345-71 in the House, 85-11 in the Senate)?

Less salacious, but far more economically disastrous was the "starring role" that ACORN played in precipitating the financial meltdown of 2008 initiated by the sub-prime mortgage market meltdown. According to acclaimed investigative journalist Matthew Vadum, ACORN's "wanton disregard for the economic wellbeing of America" through the very direct involvement for decades in federal housing policy and programs at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, perpetually weakening underwriting standards, and ignoring or even falsifying loan documentation put ACORN squarely at the center of the collapse of the sub-prime mortgage house of cards.

Huge numbers of loans that eventually became the problem trace to ACORN originations. Vadum discovered that ACORN housing brochures openly bragged about how they undermined mortgage loan underwriting standards.

Perhaps you should take your dhimmirat blinders off once in a while and maybe you could find something for yourself instead of relying on me! :bash:

Judicial Watch, the non-partisan Washington based watchdog foundation, discovered that McGavin and IHHF will now be in charge of doling out $445 million thanks to a very generous grant by the Obama Administration.

Forward, the righteous cause!

How can you be so pro-democrat when you're best defense when the dhimmirats are caught with both hands in the cookie jar is that both parties do it?

How is it the dhimis get caught more often?

Are 'we' giving away our money or are WE being robbed?
