He definitely took a wrong turn somewhere in Kenya, too bad he ended up in the states and worse the President of them.

“Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China. As one official put it, ‘No one is scrutinizing Hu Jintao’s words in Tahrir Square.’”

sounds similar to

"You don't get everything you want. A dictatorship would be a lot easier."

What a moronic thing to say.
It's amazing. I get the context and I'm sure he meant it in jest, but he's got to understand that this is not the kind of joke the President of the United States looks good making.

I agree with you regarding context. But he has to know that and this is exactly the kind of crap the liberals would grab and run with during Bush's terms.

[ ] He really hates the fact that he can be criticized as a politician.
[ ] He is making a joke.
[ ] He is obviously just making a joke.
[x] He is obviously just making a joke and only a pure partisan would bother to claim otherwise.

I am not going to attack the guy for issues that are not policy related. It may have been a joke; it may not have been. It would be easier to be the President of China than to be the POTUS. I think I would have to agree with that statement.

Probably would be easier to be the President of China, they're making money over there, mostly ours.

Perspective is a wonderful thing. One person's buffoon is another person's hero.

gator, if this was palin or any conservative you'd be screaming about this.

this is the same guy who's appologized for America being a free and prosperous nation. this is the same guy who will not call terrorists, terrorists.

I wouldn't be so sure he's joking.

if he was the president of china, just think what he could do with all the tea party people.

i do agree though, our founding fathers made it hard to pass laws easily or to rule as a dictator.

his ego is so big though, he believe that we should fall in like sheep.

I truly think most politicians really feel this way. It takes a pretty good sized ego to want to be 'in charge'. They all are from the same mold, different filling maybe, but definately the same mold.

I know someone right now who is going through the vetting process to run for a spot in the next state election.

Most would say he is an arrogant sob who is very conservative and has crazy views. If you talked to him in person though, and didn't actually know him, you'd never know it. Never ever ever.

I hear ya. I just have a general disdain for politicians. Man's gotta stand for something and I choose to stand on that. Figured I was fairly safe with my choice.
