The White House has tapped a former leader of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the Indiana Wildlife Federation as the Asian carp czar to oversee the federal response to keeping the invasive species out of the Great Lakes.

yes I know they're a nuisance but isn't this czar thing getting a little out of hand?

We would only need to rearrange the letters of "Carp Czar" for must of our Mods.

I agree the czar thing has gone too far but these carp a serious threat to native fish populations, in every area they have moved into they have choked native fish species out. I fish fairly regularly, I guess the threat just hits closer to home for me.

I saw a NatGeo special on these carp and they are a major problem. They eat an enormous amount of food every day and they jump when startled. So you will be driving along in your boat and they jump out of the water and into your boat. Doing 30 mph in a boat and a 15lb carp comes flying into your boat is dangerous.

The problem with the czar is that he/she will be dealing with multiple jurisdictions and agencies, so this will probably make things worse

This is obviously blatent fish profiling and unconstitutional discrimination against foreign guest fish and should immediately be reported to the United Nations.

Not only that it's a dire threat to every American owned fish hook factory in China!!!

Carps of the world must unite now!!!
