Please interject as you see fit, but here are my takeaways from the Paradise Jam.

1. Scotty Hopson is the softest player we've had in recent memory

2. If somebody chopped off JP Prince's left hand, he would die

3. If somebody chopped off the 'Solution's right hand, he too would perish

4. Woolridge needs to stick to being SwiperBoy

5. The only lottery Tyler Smith will be involved in is the local pick six

6. Melvin Goins is a solid defender but feels he is in range once he leaves the scorers table

7. Skylar McBee belongs here

8. Tatum should start over Hopson

Am I way off here? Please opine. Happy Thanksgiving all!!!

Most of the statements are pretty accurate, although I think Tatum should start over JP. Hopson just had a bad game the other night...I really think he has the potential to be a great player and until he has another bad game, I think he should be the starter.

1. Scotty Hopson is the softest player we've had in recent memory He does have trouble against tougher defenders

2. If somebody chopped off JP Prince's left hand, he would dieCan't argue

3. If somebody chopped off the 'Solution's right hand, he too would perishCan't argue
4. Woolridge needs to stick to being SwiperBoyCan't argue-can't even trust him to pass the ball in after a made basket and if your jumper is banking off the side of the rim- probably shouldn't be shooting

5. The only lottery Tyler Smith will be involved in is the local pick sixJust a tweener-has real trouble with 6-7 to 6-9 people- great college player though

6. Melvin Goins is a solid defender but feels he is in range once he leaves the scorers tableNeither point guard understands that there number 1 job is to draw the defense and distribute the ball

7. Skylar McBee belongs hereJury is still out, he has some potential-half a step slow on D- can't generate a shot off the dribble-certainly good for a walkon

8. Tatum should start over HopsonTatum is a player, he should actually start over Prince-Hopson will get better and play tougher-he is just young

Am I way off here? Please opine. Happy Thanksgiving all!!!

Getting a too short message-what does that mean?

Vincent Y?

2. If somebody chopped off JP Prince's left hand, he would die
I am done defending him. He is an embarrassment at this point.
3. If somebody chopped off the 'Solution's right hand, he too would perish
He looks decent, and he can make things happen off the dribble periodically.
4. Woolridge needs to stick to being SwiperBoy
I do not believe he is far enough in his college career to declare him done.
5. The only lottery Tyler Smith will be involved in is the local pick six
This is potentially wrong. Tyler is a tweener, but he is a tweener who will get to play against lots more of the countries elite at his position both OOC and inside it, and if he dominates them in scoring and has a great tourney run he will be drafted pretty high.
6. Melvin Goins is a solid defender but feels he is in range once he leaves the scorers table
This made me laugh. I agree he should not take 3s when there are better options. I also think his lack of height was a liability a few times, even on defense. He is in front of you, but you can pass over him.
7. Skylar McBee belongs here
He is a great surprise!
8. Tatum should start over Hopson
No. As everyone else has said, Tatum should start over JP. Tatum also took a 3 that was worse than Chism's in the Purdue game because it was before anyone was there to corral the rebound from his awful miss. Terrible game awareness, should have realized he did not have a clear path to the rim, slowed up and passed out to set the offense.

Am I way off here? Please opine. Happy Thanksgiving all!!!

Fun discussion, thanks for the post.

1. Scotty Hopson is the softest player we've had in recent memory...

7. Skylar McBee belongs here

Hopson is disparaged, McBee is applauded. Strange, since by my estimation, if we had a team full of McBees we would...um....suck.

You really think Hopson is softer than Tatum? They look very similar to me, with the main difference being Scotty is better.

Fun discussion, thanks for the post.

Glad you recognize that MHF. This was a post based on factual observation, rather than just senseless predictions that we routinely recieve from you. I agree with every thing except changing the starting line-up. Hopson does play soft and needs to toughen up against pressure or he will fold aganist the better defensive teams. It's one thing to shoot uncontested 3s, but quite another when you are guarded.

Well, the Purdue game being the only real game I have seen, I have to disagree. Go back and watch Tatum. He seemed to be hustling all over the place for rebounds even though that is not his strength. Could be an isolated memory or two, but I still seem to think his effort was much higher than I have witnessed out him so far.

Sorry, I meant to quote cotton.

Tatum had 2 rebounds in 19 minutes. Forgive me if I'm not overly impressed.
